You can choose between the in-stock item, which is ready to ship in available, or “Add Pre-Order to Cart,” which indicates that the item is a pre-order. When a pre-order item is purchased, it is noted in the cart, at checkout, and in the order confirmation email. An estimated fulfillment timeframe is provided as well, indicating when the pre-order is expected to ship. Pre-order items may ship separately from in-stock items in the same order, and the delivery of an in-stock portion of an order does not necessarily mean that a pre-order item has also been fulfilled. We understand how receiving one portion of an order while waiting on a pre-order can be confusing, and we’re always looking for ways to make this process even clearer for our customers. Additionally, we have a reporting window for missing items so that our team has an opportunity to investigate and resolve these concerns.
