The Woobles is a wonderful first experience in the world of crochet! THE PROS - Variety: At the time of writing, there are 273 Woobles. I've looked at about 100 and they're all absolutely adorable so there's definitely a pattern out there for you. - All-in-one kit: The kits literally have EVERYTHING you need other than scissors/a knife. I was worried I would buy one and it would expect me to have the crochet basics like markers and hooks, but these were provided! - Great Branding: If you get one of the branded patterns like Harry Potter or Hello Kitty, your crochet hook WILL MATCH. This was an adorably welcome surprise when I bought the Gryffindor lion Wooble. - Clear Instructions: The Woobles was my introduction to crochet and I completed my first project without a hitch EXCEPT for starting the magic circle, which The Woobles does not recommend trying until you have a lot more experience anyway. If you're stubborn and can't resist a challenge (like me), there are better methods to starting the magic circle online. THE CONS - Pricey: There are comparable kits out there for 1/3 of the price, though The Woobles has the best designs - Redundant Purchase: There are multiple parts of the kit that you only need to purchase once, like the crochet hook and the tapestry needle. Without a means to purchase only the patterns (which are the best part) or patterns + yarn, you're wasting a lot of what you're paying for, so I'd only get one and try just buying patterns and yarn from there. - False Labeling: The label on the back said that Felix the Fox would take 8 hours max. I'm not sure if I'm just REALLY slow or if it's because I messed up my magic circle 3 times, but it took me TWICE that amount of time to complete the first project. This lined up with my friend who also tried crocheting a Wooble as their first project. My guess is that they don't want to intimidate you with a project that takes a full waking day, but I would prefer honesty. - Buggy Instructions Website: The instructions website would regularly glitch out in frustrating ways. Videos didn't load until I tapped them and took quite a while to load (I have gigabit internet so it wasn't my bandwidth). Sometimes there would be no audio and I'd have to rely on closed captions that covered half of the visual instructions. Hitting the back arrow on the website would refresh the current set of instructions instead of going back a step. SUMMARY The Woobles is the ideal way to start crocheting for most beginners, but at $30-$40 a kit, it's hard to ask for users to come back after their first project.

I wasn't sure I could learn to crochet. I've seen my wife do it, and it looks like some sort of sorcery. But amigurumi are so cute!! I needed to try to make one. *Disclaimer: I already know how to knit, so I already had experience holding yarn, keeping tension, and making knots in yarn with sticks. Someone sent me Joe the coffee cup and the tiny coffee cup. I'll be switched, I have learned how to crochet!I have since made Snoopy, his dog bone and bowl, Felix the fox, the tiny treasure chest, and Roland the dung beetle and his tiny dung ball (my wife said she needed Roland). So, for the folks who say the instructor goes too fast, for crying out loud pause, back the video up, watch it as many times as you need to! I know those people are on Facebook. Perhaps they aren't capable of searching for a crochet group to ask questions. There are 1000s of people out there who can answer questions. I guess y'all never thought of that. For the folks who say they ordered around the holidays and it took a long time to get your Wooble - of course it did, you ordered at the holidays! For the folks who say they're getting too many Woobles ads after clicking on a Woobles ad, um, THAT'S HOW INTERNET MARKETING WORKS! If you don't know that, please, do us all a favor and get off the internet. So, now that I've pounded into oblivion the major whiny reasons not to get a Wooble, go get a Wooble. Watch the videos as much as necessary. Join a crochet group on FB. The Woobles are a terrific way to learn, you get everything you need to get started - no guessing, no buying the wrong stuff/too much stuff/too little stuff. You can do it!!

The yarn itself is not worth it, but getting the patterns alone is. I do wish they gave you a way to simply purchase the patterns, instead of the whole kit.

I had high hopes for The Woobles, but my experience has been incredibly disappointing. Every time I reached out, the same representative responded, as if no one else in the company exists. Unfortunately, she was unhelpful, dismissive, and failed to offer any real solutions. When I tried to address my concerns, I was met with gaslighting rather than assistance, which only wasted my time. To make matters worse, after receiving a survey about my experience, I shared my concerns—but no one followed up or seemed to care. On top of that, the product quality itself was underwhelming and not worth the price. Between the poor craftsmanship and lack of customer support, I feel like I threw my money away. For the price, I expected much better. I want others to be aware of both the subpar customer service and product quality before making a purchase. I hope the company takes steps to improve, but based on my experience, I can’t recommend them.

In the description it said it had step by step instructions well that was a lie. In the first part it had visual instructions but then they had a chart and that got me so confused. Like it was so confusing . If I could do negative stars that would be perfect -10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 stars do not recommend.

Wonderful and fun! I have purchased 3 kits, two for myself, and I started with Snoopy, which was a bit more of an involved and longer process than doing a cute penguin. Woobles definitely teaches crochet - it's like hours of instruction, all materials included and they make it super easy to learn. Outside of personal opinions about Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling, the kits are worth the money. Don't let the haters sway you - if you can find one for a discount, it's the way to go.

Helpful videos! I started with Salem the cat, never crocheted in my life and was very happy with the outcome. The second wobbles I did was Roosevelt the moose, and I felt like I had reading crochet patterns down pretty well so instead of using the step by step video tutorials I was able to use just the written pattern, which can be found after you enter the password, in the top right corner!
