Cheaply made cabinets!!! I paid a lot of money for these because they were supposed to be solid. I unpacked them and was in the process of installing them when drawer fronts just starting fall off. Drawers were installed crooked so they do not close properly. The drawer accessories bought for the pantry are limited on where they can be installed and came with NO instructions on how to install. In stock cabinets at Home Depot are better quality than these!

I believe the RTA store is engaging in…
I believe the RTA store is engaging in deceptive bussines tactics of offering new cabinets for sale yet can not deliver cabinets in like new condition. After 2 months, 40 plus emails, countless phone calls and apologies from the RTA store I was forced to install cabinets that had cracked face frames, mis manufactured parts, and overall not what I paid for. I have asked the RTA store to refund 4 cabinets that had to be installed with defects. The RTA Store will not refund the puchase price even tho they had reasonable time to correct the deficiencies. Cabinets are good quality if they arrive without damage. I really wanted to like the RTA store but in the end it has been a dissapointment. There are many companies out their in this space and I would steer clear of this one.

Beware the company does not replace missing items
First of all, this is the first negative review I have ever written in my life. I wanted to allow this company to make things right, but it isn't going to happen. We chose TheRTAStore.com for our kitchen renovation.
The cabinets are nice – well-constructed, and are a beautiful color and finish. However, a $145 back island panel was missing from our $9,000 order. Despite reaching out multiple times, they insisted that we had MISPLACED a 3ft by 8ft panel! They say our contractor probably set it aside somewhere, but we assembled the cabinets ourselves and did not misplace it.
The order was delivered on oversized pallets with tight binding. The SKU numbers on the boxes do not match the paperwork when you are trying to determine if anything is missing before the driver leaves. Multiple items are inside other boxes with no labeling. The driver even acknowledged missing materials on the paperwork in our case!
Not only this, but half of our order was left on the shipping dock, and we had to contact the freight company multiple times to get them to bring it before it was damaged. They did bring the order on a late Saturday evening, but there were some torn boxes.
If you have missing items, customer service will accuse you of misplacing them with no intentions and waste your time, making you think they will help you. They told us to reorder it again and spend another $145 + $299 shipping.
I saw other reviews with similar problems, and I guess this is a pattern with this company. Just be aware that if you order from this company, you are taking a risk that you may not get your complete order.

Dear Catherine,
We are very sorry for your experience which has resulted in so much frustration. For this situation, while a shortage was noted on the delivery receipt, the pallet was still wrapped and banded at the time of delivery (and documented as such) so we were not able to file for a shortage against the carrier. (When something is documented as delivered in the same condition wrapped and banded in which it was shipped out, the carrier doesn't accept liability). Please rest assured that our claims department thoroughly investigated your concern by requesting the pallet images you took at the time of delivery and also requesting the warehouse's images prior to shipment to ensure nothing happened in transit. In comparing both sets of images, the box for the 36x96 panel is visible on site in your pallet picture and matches the location it left the warehouse in. All the boxes arrived stacked in the same manner as they were shipped. There was no disturbance to the pallet in transit. That being said, we understand the headache this experience must have caused and will be reaching out to offer a full refund on the panel as a courtesy.

SO - impossible to work with
SO. not willing to work with an order that was clearly incorrectly created by your design service team. unwilling to work to replace the incorrect cabinets that were ordered by the design team, despite evidence that the item specified was not what was requested by the customer.
CS Asking me to plan an order for replacement cabinets, 'supposedly' placing the order on hold, however I was charged for the order none the less.
showing NO WILLINGNESS TO WORK WITH YOUR CUSTOMER within an acceptable timeframe.
if you had been able to determine any reasonable resolution time. I asked for 48 hours (remember, your customer (me) has a contractor waiting in the wings to install your product). and ZERO ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR PART in the issue. I was told - 'You signed off on the order 'by SHERRY BROWN. despite my re-sending to her the email where I explicitly asked for the cabinet I expected to receive. it was only many months later that I was offered a response - that that was not a cabinet that should be put over a sink cabinet. DESPITE MY CONFIRMING THAT THE BASE CABINET WAS PULLED OUT 10 Inches from the wall. Her response from last week was NOT provided in October when we were working on the design detail. Which Iby the way I had to resend multiple times, as they were repeatedly NOT THE DESIGN I ASKED FOR. I specifically sent SHERRY BROWN the cabinet part that I wanted, and she disregarded my request.

Dumpster Fire!
Review for - TheRTAStore.com
Our designer, Lisa Cheek was helpful, attentive, and responsive. She should find a better company to work for. We placed our order with TheRTA (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com for closet cabinets. They gladly collected our money, though sadly the rest of a story is a dumpster-Fire! If you live in a remote area, on unpaved roads, make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. These people packed 1200lbs of product on one pallet and 400lbs on another pallet scheduling delivery in a 30-foot semi, with one driver and a standard, (meant for smooth concrete) pallet-jack… to unload our order on an unpaved dirt road. If we wanted to have them send out a truck with a forklift, that would cost an additional $725.00.
TheRTA, (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com ships the product, but it’s up to YOU to deal directly with the trucking company. We managed to overcome this obstacle, though RTA, (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com offered, virtually zero assistance.
With the pallets unloaded, (they were a mess in the truck) we laid out all the items, checking everything off the, (incoherent) packing list… Oh and there are items missing! Short 75/100 Euro screws. We received none of the 90-degree clips for securing the shelves. We were also short 12 door/drawer handles. Here’s the definition of “Customer Service” to RTA, (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com act like a fly-by-night insurance company... deny the claim, deny the claim, deny the claim and eventually they will go away. We have a closet full of boards and drawers, though no fasteners to complete the assembly. If you decide to wait for someone within RTA, (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) to get off their cans and take-care-of-business, go find an anvil and drop it on your foot... no, both feet.
They have our money and now we are a pest… a nuisance… go away, I am texting my friend... you’re interrupting.
Waiting for these people to “decide” what to do? This will require someone to do something! But wait!! The “manufacturer” has a question… geez! Trust me… you are going to feel like you’ve been tied to the bumper of a demolition derby car… smashing, (head first) into junk vehicles. We are still waiting for word of the missing items? I’m sure when someone from RTA, (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com gets around to it, we will be told, “those parts are stuffed in a shipping-container, and they are located somewhere in Long Beach harbor”… “Oh, and the screws… well they caught COVID and are in isolation”. Absurd. These people are really, really, really terrible. Customer service doesn’t exist. They are full of excuses, take ZERO responsibility, then they dump a load rotten garbage in your lap! Oh and by-the-way! There’s no compensation for being put through a meat-grinder… RTA (ROTTEN/TERRIBLE/ATROCIOUS) Store.com would want to charge extra for this. Don’t walk, RUN!!!!
Update: 9/15/2022 - Missing a set of drawer guides for one drawer. Made a second request, though all we hear are crickets. Missing door handles did arrive and are installed. Hopefully the guides show up before they close their doors.

Customer
Customer service sucks, can only find phone calls that don't matter, but if you have asked a question about details they lose those so you end up getting screwed, never again
Cabinets to go just got.a new customer.

It looks like there was confusion regarding the roll out trays versus a trash pullout insert for a base cabinet that was purchased and we're terribly sorry if anything was unclear. If you need to return the roll outs and get a trash pullout instead, we can absolutely help with that! Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] so we can assist!

Hi Ms. Mott! We've searched our system and can't seem to locate any order under your name, we'd like to confirm you placed the order on our site and not a competitor's site (there are some with very similar names to ours). If you could please reach out to us directly at [email protected], we'd love to look into this further for you and if the order was placed with us, we will do everything we can to get your order delivered as quickly as possible!
Thank you for providing your husband's name, we were able to locate your order now! We truly apologize for the error, the freight companies will not deliver on Saturday and Sundays and the Saturday date that was given was in error. You should have received the corrected delivery date though, if not, please let us know!

BEWARE-not good quailty and you're stuck once you buy
I will start by saying that for the most part, the staff at the RTA are store very nice and helpful in many different ways ( planning layout of kitchen, ordering all of the correct parts, getting some replacements parts, etc.)
The kitchen cabinets are NOT good quality. We ordered a total of 16 cabinets. HDF doors. Within one to two months after install, at least half of them had some kind of chipping, peeling, cracking, etc. for NO REASON. This shoud have been a sign to us. At first, the RTA store was willing to replace the doors (through the warranty) but soon after, they just stopped doing that. We were told that we CAUSED the damages (we did not) and that we should go through our protection plan that we purchased. Well the protection plan does not cover anything that occurs for no reason. This was normal use within one to two months. They won't sell just a door either, so you have to buy an entire cabinet to replace a door. And that's not the end. The doors continue to deteriorate. We are a family of two. Both work full time (pre corona virus is when this took place) and don't spend a lot of time in our kitchen. We are careful, responsible, neat and clean individuals. So it's been about 6 months since install and we are not pleased with the quality at all.
The hinges and glides were not good quality either. The glides weren't smooth. The hinges wouldn't line up properly. We had to buy our own in order to get them to work. And that cost several hundreds of extra dollars.
If this can help anybody, that is why I am posting. I spent countless hours researching before I purchased cabinets. Had I known this to be the case, I would have purchased other cabinets. I would not recommend MDF or HDF doors or cabinets. They fall apart extremely easily. This information is not readily available online. Bottom line- after spending thousands of dollars and I would says hundreds of hours dealing with issues cabinet related (and ongoing) we have a kitchen I would be embarrassed to have friends and family visit. Good thing nobody is going much of anywhere! I will post as many pics as it will allow.
I wish that I could recommend RTA store to friends and family. I wish that they stood behind that products that they sold, but we did not find this to be the case.
