Not even worth one star. A useless and expensive piece of junk. BUYER BEWARE. Purchased the 128 GB version early in September 2019 for $79.99 (approx £62). When it finally arrived in the UK, I had to collect it from a Royal Mail Depot, but not before paying a further £21.99 consisting of a customs fee and a Royal Mail handling fee. Given what I had already spent, I felt I had little option but to pay up (I SHOULDN'T HAVE BOTHERED). This week, with some time off work, I finally get around to using the photostick - except it simply DOES NOT WORK. It doesn't work either in the Mac Book (that I bought it for) or in a Windows PC. In both cases it does not open. I have followed the advice on the 'ThePhotoStick.com' website - including the Spotlight/Privacy advice. It will appear on the desktop, but will not open. I note too, that the promised 'help/chat' bubble is absent on the website and the 'click here if it doesn't open' link also doesn't work. I can find no other contact or email details - other than the return address. Of course, I am beyond the 30 day return deadline and, to be honest, have no intention of throwing yet more good money after bad. I now have zero confidence in this product and can only recommend AVOID.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Like so many others writing reviews, I am also totally shocked & disappointed by the excessive additional costs which are NOT mentioned at point of order. My £38.50 Photostick purchased through Facebook is still in Royal Mail depot, waiting for me to pay £16.81 customs fee (including £8 for Royal Mail handling charges). This totals &61.46 - and judging by the posts, the device is unlikely to work as advertised. As others have commented, it is uneconomic to attempt a return as I expect I would be forced to pay that cost too? Still trying to work out how to proceed.

So disappointed, not even received the photo stick yet but I have a card delivered from Royal Mail to say I need to pay Customs of £21.62. It appears to be a scam again especially after reading reviews below.

Having a vast number of photos on my Tablet, Phone and Computers the concept of thephotostick appeared logical. Ordered one, when it arrived there were VAT & Royal Mail charges of £16.81. Strange? Thought best to read the manual before inserting into my computer. You can see the list of headings but no means to print the instruction manual, you have to read it online. Not much good if you are Old and handicapped. The only way I am informed one has to copy each section into WORD and print from there. Job for the grandchildren. That will take a further two weeks till they are up next. Not a good start. I hope once I have read the manual and tried the unit it justifies the hype it has been promoting. Would I recommend it to others? Not from my initial reaction to the introduction I have experienced. One should be advised of the additional charges before buying, I saw nothing mentioned.

These people are scurrilous rogues. Beware small print! Before mine can be delivered I must pay £16:81 customs duty. This makes it economically unviable. I will cut my losses and put it down to experience 😡 Feel very foolish, hope this helps others to avoid this scam.

RUBBISH! I live in the UK - had to pay £16 for the post office to deliver it. It doesn't really like Macs, and then when you finally get it to work all you get is a list of files hundreds of them!! You don't know which photo is which. Shame, especially as I bought 2 - I was going to gift one!! Don't believe the advert - it is not easy at all.

Oh how I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Was bowled over with what they said it could do and immediately purchased 2 128 GB. Was so looking forward to getting this when I was hit with a £25 customs bill before they would hand the package back. Would have just refused the package (although they had charged £7.99 delivery) in the hope of getting a refund. Unfortunately when I contacted them unless I posted it back myself with a specific reference only given by them I would end up having to pay the customs plus another postage charge back to them. Counting it up I would be too much out of pocket so have paid the customs. Now I am in fear like other customers that my $160 is going to be a waste of money as it doesn’t seem to work according to most of the reviews. Fingers crossed for me everybody. A word of warning as it is in VERY SMALL print in the terms and conditions about the customs charge when posted to the UK.

I wouldn't even give this company a 1 star, but you have to give it at least one in order to rate it. Total scam. I checked out in British £, and then it converted me to USD. I sent an email, but no one answered. Two weeks later, I got hit with a £34 customs duty, to which I will not pay, but will have the post return to sender. This company is not legit. There is no phone number and when it asks for a chat, it freezes my computer and laptop. I will report to the better business bureau and the NYTs, as this is where I discovered the company. Complete awful excuse for a company!
