Still waiting. Is 4 years too long to wait for something that you paid $500 for? I think it is. Updates are scarce and they've forgotten the original backers who helped get them started. I'd just like a refund of I could, why should I pay additional and compromise on what I originally asked for? Very disappointed 👎🏾

These guys are crooks! Nothing but crooks. Not sure how else you can describe them. They take money and never deliver product. They don’t give you a date of when it will be delivered. Expect you to give them more money and wait. Do not buy from these crooks.

Well it was a long wait at 3 Years 7 months and had to pay additional for individual shipping, had to get that out of the way first. Excellent condition very well packed they even included a extra lens just in case. Bubble wrapped and in a nice burlap bag with their logo. Easy to assemble including adding aquarium rocks we had pre purchased for weight, no danger of tipping over those rubber boots have good grip. Love the Red Artsy paint job looks even better then in their photos and was exactly the look I was hoping for. I mostly use it as mood lighting next to my TV, the App makes it easy to select the color and brightness. Only problem I had was with Bluetooth being temperamental but that is also an issue with other Bluetooth devices I have. All in all worth the wait and if I had the funds would love to get a Red Army and/or Zombie.

Lampster was a Kickstarter crowdfunding project and lead times were to be expected. However, they did have serious trouble delivering, and I had to wait for four years to receive a lampster in a different colour than ordered. One the earliers issues was that they probably miscalculated the cost of so many options and shipping destinations, eventually prioritizing on shipping to customers willing to pay extra for custom shipments (instead of bulk) and on some shops that would carry their product. Which left backers of the first hour to wait, with little to no progress communication, even breaking promises on communication and delivery deadlines. Of course people weren't happy with it and I was one of them. Fast forward to today and things have improved. Updates are stil less frequent but I received my Lampster and did have good contact with support via Facebook messenger, where they were reasonably quick and adequate in their communication. As I said, the Lampster delivered was in the wrong colour, disappointingly. After contact with Lampster I decided not to take the gamble of the swap and kept the one I finally had, with a kind reimbursement for the inconvenience. As it still is an army look, black instead of red, it fits in nicely. Overall communication and service has indeed improved over the years, I'll give them that gladly. If the lamp had been in the right colour, this review would have been 4 stars. Note: this review has been rewritten two times. First when communication was poor (2 stars), then communication improved (3 stars), finally after delivery and again contact.

I funded the project when it was a Kickstarter. I now own my army green Lampster and I love it. It's fun to unbox and look great. The app works well and the light is perfect for a dynamic desk.

So... Yes, it took a while... Yes I was a little frustrated... But this little guy is awesome. I've had it 2 days and I love it already. A very very unique item with real personality. I can't fault the customer service either, always replying to my requests for an update. Overall, I'm very happy and the wife is even letting me keep it out!

Yes, also I was frustrated with The Lampster as I purchased and paid my little friend on Kickstarter and had to wait > 2 years before it got delivered. But isn’t that the concept of Kickstarter? And moreover, it takes time to create a masterpiece. Especially if you are overwhelmed as new company with the demand of it. I now received The Lampster! The packaging and the quality exceeded my high expectations. I am very happy with the look and feel, the functionality, the app and the unique character of the lamp. This item really feels like a kind of pet, a little robot. An emotional bond you create with it easily. I made many people jealous and even consider now to by a second one. I had a small issue at arrival of the package and needed to contact The Lampster customer service. I did this by FB chat and got in contact with Ana. She is very helpful and friendly. She immediately understood my issue and provided the necessary information within an hour after raising the issue. Go get one yourself, you will love it!

A really nice looking lamp! Not common, so a lot of people ask you what's this thing on your desk when they enter in your house. I love it, its more than a lamp, it's a piece of art. Definitely worth the wait! Be patient and enjoy!!
