I backed the kickstarter almost 5 years ago, I still haven't received anything and they are selling their products to shops and other platforms... This company is a scam

Very happy with my lamp! Arrival on time, the product is exactly as advertised. Would recommend to others. 5 stars!

Update (03/27/2020): The Lampster team have now asked KickStarter to block me and remove my posts asking everyone to come here and leave an honest review. They’re claiming it is SPAM. Meanwhile, they’re posting the same comment multiple times to bury comments they don’t like. Transparency is not something this company values. Beware. Original Review: I’m feeling like a sucker who has been scammed. That’s the main takeaway from the experience I’ve had with this company. After paying for a Lampster, I’ve gotten the runaround on when it will be delivered for quite a long time. Initially, (after more than a year of being overdue) I was told 2 weeks, then 2 more weeks, then 2-8 weeks, then “we don’t know”. Next I was told that the color I chose was having manufacturing issues - but only after I heard about this from another customer and messaged them about it. They told me there would be an update soon on the color. After several months, it was communicated that the color I purchased would no longer be available. I asked to change colors and my address but the person I “spoke” with over email clearly didn’t update anything. My next follow up revealed they still had my old address and the original color selected for me. Meanwhile, there was no update on a timeframe I could expect to see the lamp. When asked, I was told I could pay more money (in addition to the cost of the lamp and shipping I had already paid) to get it sooner - however I’d have to settle for yet another color and a EU plug (I’m in the US). Overall, communication has been severely lacking from these guys. I cannot possibly overstate just how bad their communication has been during this wait. I’m still waiting for a black lamp with a US plug. December 2015 to nearly March 2020 - with no reliable estimate of when or IF I’ll see the lamp I paid for. Incredibly disappointed.

Honestly, I love this lamp! Since ordering it over 3 years ago, anytime I had a question, it was answered very quickly. Any time I had a concern, it was addressed. When the Lamp finally arrived I couldn't have been happier! One of the lenses was damaged in transit, but it came with a replacement. But the lamp itself, is big and sturdy, and boy oh boy does it look great! Im happy with my purchase and now my lamp, El Lumino Magnifico is what ive named him on the app, sites pride of place beside my bed!

I’ve been nothing but patient and understanding for my lampster. However, having back this project back in 2015 and still not receiving anything is a little puzzling. I don’t think that new units should be sold when Kickstarter are not yet fulfilled. On top of that I just learnt that they are putting a halt on bulk shipping right now. So unless you are willing to pay extra, you are waiting indefinitely. I still want my lampster and still excited over it but it is getting to the disappointing stage. Every time I asked about my unit I was told “soon” and then nothing. And now it seems like “unless you pay extra, you won’t get it anytime soon! (If ever)” :(

I supported this product on Kickstarter, along with the thousands of people who were excited to receive the Lampster. 5 years later, we are all still waiting. Delivery schedules have been sketchy and their Facebook replies have been very vague. They claim that they are delivering to Europe and USA, but I still see many people living in that region complaining on Kickstarter. Friends who have waited for this thrash have moved house thrice, while some have emigrated. Really disappointed with this product and please do not waste your money supporting it. We were cheated of more that $200 per person and we probably would not even receive it in our lifetime.

Until today, I was like all the guys who gave it a one star because of the frustration of waiting and receiving excuses for years. I ordered The Lampster in December 2015 and just received it today... I give it 5 stars because it's way beyond my expectations... For those of you waiting, don't give up. You won't be disappointed...
