LampsterReviews of thelampster.com

This is a great product, fast deliver and good quality

I was asked to provide a feedback on the product. I am an original backer and I had the lamp with individual shipping. First the lamp is much bigger than expected, the head is very heavy and it's full metal. I had to fill the body with sand to give it more stability I like it very much! The only down side is that I can't have it connected with the rest of the lights in the house 😊... maybe in the future??

Cool product. Have received it after a long wait but i really like it. I have the black army.

Waiting over 4 years for 4 lampsters to be delivered. Stay away from this "company", it is a scam

If I could give zero stars I would. I am one of the original backers from the Kickstarter campaign almost FIVE YEARS AGO and have yet to see anything but lies and more lies from this company. Please please please do not buy from them, they are liars and thieves.

If I could choose 0 stars, I would. Original backer on Kickstarter almost five years ago. Think they took my money to the race track and lost. Never see any photos of inventory, never have any estimate of expected delivery, never have any proof of this being an actual production of more than one person. And yet, scripted customer service email says “They’re coming”. Unlikely! One of two founders has completely and public ally disowned the project. He was recorded on YouTube stating what an incompetent and mismanaged disaster this became and he wants nothing to do with it anymore. Don’t give these people any more money. You’re probably supporting a Ponzi scheme. The few people they’ve managed to extort for more money to ship individually (at a cost of almost $80 !!) have said the Lampster has app issues, poor assembly, dim light output, sloppy craftsmanship, and broken glass. Run away while you can! You could probably find a much better use of your money on literally anything else.

I bought and paid for a Lampster as a backer to the original Kickstarter campaign and still haven't received it... FOUR YEARS LATER. I would understand if it was a case of too many orders or shortage of product, but I know those aren't true since you can go to their website and buy them brand new now. Horrible business practice.

Being a backer of the original Kickstarter campaign, I can't believe all the positive reviews are legit or, at best, they are mainly from people who bought the product outside (after) the Kickstarter campaign (which should not happen until the Kickstarter products are delivered). The creator has been consistently and deliberately very vague about their production numbers and even what little information they do provide shows it will be years yet (keep in mind we're at about five years now) before they can deliver the product. As a result of the low production numbers and their current focus on extorting significantly more shipping costs from backers in order to receive the product, at best, those who aren't willing to be swindled out of more money will probably never see the product.
