I ended up getting a 6-figure job using my own network resources. If this service paid more attention to some sort of network then it would be effective. Only about 5-10% of interviews come from simply applying. The rest comes from network and timing (expanding, moving, etc). If you don't have a point of contact in HR or hiring the odds are not in your favor. This service has none of that, it is simply a 6-figure jobs board and half-way done application service.

Five years in, still looking for a job. Maybe not TheLadders's fault, but they sure aren't helping.

The Ladders used to be a much more exclusive site, which on some levels was better for those in that $100K+ bracket, but not so much for those looking to get there. Now that the job selection isn't limited in this regard it is much more useful, but it still lacks the amount of job opportunities as other sites. Furthermore, the mobile app is buggy. For example, there's a section that's supposed to let you know about the status of an application but for which never stays properly updated and which apparently sends erroneous updates. It once told me that an employer viewed my application on one day and then again a few days later I received the same notification. When I went to look at the history, it only showed the most recent view. There needs to be more jobs, more diversity in jobs and more options for promoting oneself.

I recommend TheLadders to any recruiter as the best way to post job orders and descriptions, search for candidates and communicate with them, save qualified candidates in an identifiable data base and provide an excellent search engine for qualified candidates. All this service at no charge for the recruiter.

I have utilized The Ladders for a couple years now and have found that the caliper of candidates I receive are above that of other sources. You definitely get top of the class candidates which makes my job much easier.

I have been a user of The Ladders since its inception. It has provided great value proposition for some of our harder search projects. Easy to post, typically receive good candidate responses. Have had some success working with the resume database.
