One star for the business and billing practices. The tutoring itself was okay, and my son liked his tutor, but the billing experience was completely unacceptable. Beware: Rates are quoted in 50-minute units, yet sessions were repeatedly treated or billed as longer without the parent's clear, separate advance approval. In some communications, a longer duration was inserted into a message focused primarily on scheduling a date, without separately highlighting the increased charge. In my experience, sessions could also continue beyond the regular length unless I actively intervened. I eventually had to ask my minor son to set an alarm and monitor the lesson time himself to prevent sessions from running over. This placed an inappropriate and unnecessary layer of stress and billing responsibility on the student. Additionally, beware: they do not routinely send billing information or information about charges unless you request it in writing. They simply charge your credit card. In summary, this may be an acceptable service for a family with an unlimited tutoring budget that does not mind sessions being extended. It is not acceptable for families who need predictable costs and reasonably expect the quoted 50-minute session to remain 50 minutes. Any longer session and its total price should be clearly disclosed and expressly approved by the parent beforehand. Unfortunately, these practices have undermined my trust in the company. I would not recommend them at all.

Jay Stull is amazing at teaching LSAT. He was clear, straightforward and right to the point. Gave the entire team so many options and methods into learning and getting to the answer. I cannot, repeat *cannot* recommend Jay enough to anyone who's thinking of taking the LSAT. Whether now, soon or in the future, his approach will stick with you! So worth the time and the sessions.

Patrick Connolly is a an extremely able and humble tutor (in fact, the word tutor does not do him justice- he is an exceptional intellectual and instructor). Patrick’s gentle personality and tailored approach helped me build on less than perfect GMAT tutoring experiences I had with Veritas Prep and Kaplan. I was able to achieve a 99th percentile GMAT score (100 point upside) with Patrick’s help. Patrick is different from any other tutor because he can explain any problem 4+ different ways. Moreover, his familiarity with the content, and frameworks for dealing with complex problems served as an anchor during our sessions. Once you unlock the higher end problems it is very important to breathe and approach these tough questions with a calm demeanor. Patrick’s personality and method of instruction were especially ripe for this, and they allowed me to dynamically solve new (and extremely complex) GMAT problems. Patrick and the folks at AT are exceptionally smart. I would not be where I am today without them. I strongly recommend Patrick for any SAT or GMAT tutoring service, as well as any college or professional counseling.

The experience of SAT tutoring with Advantage Testing of Westchester was phenomenal. Our child looked forward to each session. The tutor we worked with, Tim, is a terrific motivator and skilled educator who really helped our child develop confidence in their ability to perform well, teaching the concepts effectively and preparing our child with test taking methods to maximize outcomes. I greatly enjoyed my experience at Advantage Testing. My tutor was Kelly Schwarz, and she helped me prepare for the ACT and two SAT subject tests. She was patient, thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated to seeing me reach my goals. She answered all of my questions and encouraged me to keep going when things got difficult. Overall, Kelly was exceptional and cares about her students. In regards to the preparation, I felt the materials and work Advantage Testing did to help me was excellent. I was given plenty of previous exam questions, times to practice the exams, and helpful guides. Additionally, I also received great help from Justin Dice with my college essay.
