LaddersReviews of theladders.com

The Ladders offers excellent quality leads for open positions, but they must stop charging fees to potential applicants searching for a career. There are so many Head Hunters out there, and if you know where to look most of these you can find yourself! Yes it takes allot of time on the career search, it truly is a full time job in itself (Looking for a new career). As the job market changes so must "The Ladders".

Dedicated site for a job seeker. I found it very useful because of the commitment. Although I did not find anything so far, I am encouraged by the hope that TheLadders provides. Therefore, I strongly recommend any one to look at it.

Ladders does not advertise itself as an agency to place suitable candidates, but as a site that lists available jobs. Yet, to see any job specific, you have to pay them as if they were your agent. Not satisfied with this arrangement at all. No longer using this service.

I was initially skeptical of the The Ladders as a job posting service but I have found the leads relevant to my search and worthwhile following up. I am currently in process with one potential employer that fits my requirements. While I have been told personal networking is the source of 80% of potential jobs there is value in being a part of The Ladders search engine.

Although I am not a paying member, I appreciate applying to those positions where there are no charge. I do resent however receiving e-mails to apply for certain jobs for free only to find out that they are no longer available after you click on the link. There has to be a better way.

Very disappointing and shallow website, in spite of recent changes, it still falls way behind newcomer competitors. I was a subscriber 6 years ago and it was ok back then but to my surprise, from using it for the last 3 months, it completely lost its little luster. It offers a poor user experience with almost non-existent direct-employer traffic or first-class recruiters. I guess it would be ok if you are outdated and this is your only source of job postings but if that's the case you should not bother searching in this competitive market anyways.

I really like the Ladders out of all the recruiting and job boards and websites. The jobs are higher quality jobs, I can be specific for the position I am looking for, and the companies are reputable well known companies. It seems as if recruiters actually value the candidates that they get from the Ladders because I get activity on my account all the time. I have had several phone screens and in person interviews from jobs that I've applied to on The Ladders. Honestly, it is the only job sourcing site that I use.

The Ladders has great posts I just don't see anywhere else.
