As long as you remember this is a long process, everything is fine. My jacket took longer than expected, about 4 or 5 months from order, but the quality is impeccable and the price is definitely a lot less than something similar would be in a retail store. “Fast, cheap, or good - pick 2” is definitely true!

After over ten back and forth communications with their specalist, the beautiful matte leather jacket was finally received, in excellent condition and expected quality. It fits well. My first custom-made leather jacket. The overall experience was positive or better than expected. One suggestion to TJM is to ask customer to take measurement with intended under-clothes he normally wears. The guildline says taking body measurement with only a T-shirt. I would never wear only a T-shirt underneath the jacket because it is worn for cool (or even cold) weather (spring and fall), so T-shirt, cotton shirt, even plus a thin sweater may be underneath. In my case, that would feel too tight, meaning I would have preferred chest size to increase by about 2 inches.

I recently ordered two of the same model/size leather jackets, but in different colors. Upon receiving them, one fit perfectly, but the other had larger sleeves, which made for a poor fit. Upon contacting The Jacket Maker, they not only issued a free return shipping label for the misfitting jacket, they also initiated an order for a properly fitting jacket and had it to me in a little over one week... no extra charges. I was extremely impressed by their commitment to making me happy and I now have two beautiful, properly fitting leather jackets. Nice job!

If you are looking for a custom tailored jacket, a high quality product, and amazing customer service, you've found the right business! I bought the standard suede leather jacket as a gift for my husband who is 6'4 and then decided to upgrade to a custom order for a better fit. I worked closely with Sam over email who made every step simple, fast and straightforward - from adjusting the order, to sending the shipping labels, to collecting the measurements, and then making additional final alterations to get the fit just right. The final result fits perfectly and they really listened to what we wanted and asked thoughtful questions to ensure the measurements were correct. The process from start to finish was long (Dec - May) because we shipped the original order back, ordered the custom, and then made final alterations to the custom, but it was well worth the wait. I would happily buy from them again and recommend them for custom tailoring!

Communication was always clear, professional, and reassuring. One important thing to keep in mind is that the item is custom-made, so it does take some time to receive. However, the wait is absolutely worth it. I really appreciated that they took the time to double-check my measurements to ensure everything would fit perfectly. That level of attention to detail made a big difference. The final product exceeded my expectations. The embroidery, in particular, was flawless and beautifully executed.
