Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

my picky eater loves this food but is pricey

My only complaint is the shipping times. My recent order, it took 7 days for my order to be shipped out. I had to "ration" my dog's food for a couple days while we waited. With automation built into everything today, 7 days to ship an order is far too long.
Response from Happy HowlAug 10, 2026
Thank you for the honest feedback! We understand how frustrating it must have been to have to ration your pup’s Happy Howl while waiting for the order to ship. 🐾 Please reach out to our Happy Howl Support Team at [email protected] so we can take a look at your subscription and adjust the delivery frequency if needed to help make sure you have enough food on hand between orders. I find it’s diffacult to swap the current order to just lamb. My dogs are picky and I just want the lamb

EVERYTHING IS GREAT! Dogs love it, customer service was needed and I got a quick response and the TetraPak packaging is awesome and very convenient. But, since I have 3 dogs, cost is getting a bit too high...might need to discontinue. : (
Response from Happy HowlAug 9, 2026
We love that all three of your pups are thriving on Happy Howl and that you had a great experience with our team! Feeding a trio can definitely add up, but before you leave, we would love to help lower your costs. Switching to our larger 24-pack or 36-pack drops the price per carton significantly and lets us stretch your delivery frequency out further so you save money overall. If you would like us to adjust your plan to a bulk size, just let us know and we will get that set up right away!

If the dogs like it, it must be good. What Mom doesn’t like is the packaging—it’s tough to open, and the food doesn’t come out easily. A lot ends up stuck in the carton.
Response from Happy HowlAug 9, 2026
High marks from the dogs, but room to improve for Mom—we appreciate the honest review! Tetra cartons keep our food fresh without preservatives, but they can definitely hold onto that last delicious bite. Cutting the top completely off or using the scooper provided makes getting every bit out so much easier. Thank you for sharing your experience, and give those happy pups a treat from us!

Good speed on shipments, good communication. I feel the recipe has changed a bit in terms of increased moisture especially in GRANDMAS recipe. Other than that nothing else to say

I make my homemade dog food weekly I don't really like to freeze it. I loved the ingredients nothing artificial and no natural flavorings. I am going away and I wanted to be able to have someone feed him with out me worrying I wanted something he would definitely devour.
