Please include the long plastic zip…
Please include the long plastic zip lock bags with order. I received these in previous orders, but not in any recent orders. They are the perfect size for storing opened dog food boxes in the refrigerator, which I often need. Thank you.

Thank you for letting us know—we love that those storage bags help keep everything fresh in your fridge! We have updated your account to automatically include extra storage bags and a scooper with all future orders, starting with your next shipment on August 31st. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of the Happy Howl pack!

My dog loves the food
My dog loves the food. I just wish there was not so much packaging heading to our landfills. Maybe each box could contain more meals? But there would still be the shipping box to throw away. Don’t know what the solution is except to sell the food in markets or pet shops.

Clean bowls for your pup and care for the planet are both super important to us! Our compact cartons are 100% recyclable and designed to minimize waste compared to traditional cans or plastic, but we love hearing customer ideas like bulk sizing and retail options as we grow. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!

My dog actually loves the food
My dog actually loves the food. He usually sniffs his food to make sure he will like it and he went right for it cleaning the bowl. However he is a 175 lb Great Pyrenees and the food would cost me a fortune to feed him the amount on the weight scale listed on the side of the box.
Response from Happy HowlAug 21, 2026
That’s wonderful to hear! 🐾 We love that he skipped the sniff test and went straight for the bowl! A 175-lb Great Pyrenees is definitely a big eater, though, so we completely understand the concern about the cost of feeding 100% Happy Howl. One option that may make more sense for your budget is to use Happy Howl as a topper alongside his current food. That way, he still gets to enjoy the food he loves without needing enough cartons to make it his entire diet. It can also be a great way to add variety while keeping his regular food as the main portion. 💛🐶 If you tell us what he currently eats, we’d be happy to help you think through a feeding approach that makes sense for both him and your budget. There isn’t an issue with the company…
There isn’t an issue with the company it’s my spoiled dog who is so picky. We haven’t found a food he loves.
Response from Happy HowlAug 21, 2026
Picky pups can definitely keep us on our toes. 🐾💛 Since there isn’t an issue with Happy Howl and he’s simply a very selective eater, a slow transition can sometimes make all the difference. A few things to try: Start small & mix in: Mix a little Happy Howl with his current food and gradually increase the amount. Warm it up: Warm the food in a microwave-safe bowl for about 10 seconds (never in the carton) to bring out the aroma. Add a topper: A little warm water, low-sodium bone broth, or plain boiled chicken can make it more enticing. Keep a routine: Offer the food for 15–20 minutes, then pick it up if he doesn’t eat. Try hand feeding: A few bites by hand can help make mealtime more positive. For the transition, try 25% Happy Howl / 75% current food for Days 1–3, then 50/50 for Days 4–6, 75/25 for Days 7–10, and 100% Happy Howl from Day 11 onward. Hopefully these tricks help win over your little food critic! 🐶💛 The Happy Howl Team 🐾

The food is good quality and my dogs…
The food is good quality and my dogs love it. The only problem is it's very sticky and I have two Yorkies with little mouths. One of them was attacked by a bigger dog and doesn't have part of his jaw And no nose so it's difficult for him to swallow the sticky food
Response from Happy HowlAug 20, 2026
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. 💛🐾 We're so glad your dogs love Happy Howl, and I'm especially sorry to hear about what your little Yorkie went through. Because of his jaw and nose injury, I completely understand why the sticky texture could make eating and swallowing more difficult. One thing you can try is gently mashing the Happy Howl with a little warm water to create a softer, smoother consistency that may be easier for him to manage. Our meals are stew-like and can be gently mashed for pups with dental or chewing challenges. Since his anatomy is different because of his injury, I'd also recommend checking with your veterinarian about the safest texture and consistency for him, particularly if he has any difficulty swallowing. If you need help adjusting his feeding plan, please reach out to [email protected] and the Happy Howl team will be happy to help. 🐶💛 The Happy Howl Team

Just starting
We just started and so far he seems to like it. The only question I have is how much so he get a day? He’s 20 pounds 11 yr old Lhasa. I usually feed him twice a day. With farmers pet it was 2-3 ounces each meal. I’m just not sure on your amount looking at the box.
Response from Happy HowlAug 19, 2026
Hi there! I’m so glad to hear he seems to be enjoying Happy Howl! 🥰 For a 20 lb pup with moderate activity (it depends on your pups energy level), a good starting point would be about 1 carton per day, split between his two meals — so roughly ½ carton at breakfast and ½ carton at dinner. Since he’s 11 years old, I’d also be happy to help you get a more personalized recommendation. You can take our feeding quiz, which takes his age, weight, activity level, and other details into consideration. 👉 Take the quiz here: https://happyhowl.com/pages/food-plan-quiz And don’t worry if the portion looks different from what you were feeding with Farmer’s Pet. The calorie content and moisture levels can vary quite a bit between different foods. I’m happy to help you get him on the right amount! 🐾 Warm Wags, Rachel The Happy Howl Team

It was fast
It was fast. Food quality is just okay. My dog does not finish his bowl. Normally he would so I am guessing, he was not much interested.

DJ LOVES the food
DJ LOVES the food! It was very easy to transition no GI issues at all... My only issues are the BOX is crazy difficult to get food out (thanks for the long spoon..) and it takes a few days longer than Chewy to get the delivery so I will need to make sure I never run low....
Response from Happy HowlAug 19, 2026
We are so thrilled that DJ is loving his food and had zero GI issues during his transition—that’s a huge win! We really appreciate the honest feedback regarding our carton design and delivery timing, and we’re so glad the long spoon is helping in the meantime. Pro tip: you can easily shift your subscription delivery date up a few days in your account so DJ never runs close to empty!
