My only criticism is that the outer shipping package is poorly prepared. I've been buying the 18 pack (2 times) and when it arrives, it is partially opened and splitting at the seams! I'm surprised it hasn't split opened during the shipping/handling process. The outer carton is not heavy duty and the taping up is very sparse.

The only problem I have is there is no way to call you if there is a problem.

I bought this food for my senior dog. He loves it. I used the BGLW discount, which made it affordable. But when I went to get more, it wouldnt let me use that discount again. It does not say anywhere that it was a one time thing. I am very disappointed that they would do that, when obviously I would not have bought it if not for the sanctuary. I thought it gave a donation to BGLW every time I purchased Happy Howl.

My chihuahua is very happy with the Happy Howl, she loves it. I am more picky and wish the box was a shorter wider box to make it easier to scoop out.

I have a problem. This food is supposed to have a shelf life of 24 months - this was one of the selling points. I had a conversation with Happy Howl prior to shipment, so they knew the amount I was ordering prior to shipment (15 CASES plus 48 additional packs) for 4 small & one medium dog. Obviously this amount of food was intended for long term. The food I received expires in June 2023 - 9 months. Unfortunately on top of everything, my eldest pup just died. But even so, no way my pups would eat all this in 9 months. I intended this food for long term. I contacted the company and was basically told their company was a new company, food was already 15 months old, I could return it at my cost! I liked their idea, my dogs liked their turkey, I am NOT made of money. This was a BIG expenditure. I was trying to support a new company and Big Guy Littles World (Bobby Humphreys). You are not getting food with a 2-year shelf life. Good food, dog loved the turkey; but order in small quantities.

So our tiny Chihuahua and Dachshund seem to LOVE the food. My only complaint is the difficulty of opening the container (had to get my teenage son who has some grip strength!) and I wish they’d said to measure a quarter cup, half cup, etc when feeding because it’s hard to tell if I fed “a quarter of the box” since I can’t see through it. Next box I open I’m going to pour into a measuring cup to determine the volume of “a quarter of the box” and stick with that. It’s also hard to empty the box after it’s been in the fridge because it’s deeper than my hand and I really have to dig it out and get it all over my hands. Please re-think the packaging?
