Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

They were quick. Kept me updated. Box was small and securely taped. And, it arrived when they said it would.

Sometimes the food comes almost liquid like. I am guessing from transport it's sat in the heat to long. My dogs won't eat it like that. Sometimes the box is full of ants also. But the majority of the time it's good. Thanks, Deb P.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! Because our recipes are cooked directly inside each carton, there can occasionally be slight variations in consistency from batch to batch, but it remains safe for your pups. However, having ants in your box is completely unacceptable! Please send photos of the damaged box and cartons to [email protected] right away so our team can investigate this issue with the shipping carrier and make things right for you.

One of the two dogs I have didn’t like the lamb. That’s the only one I’ve fed so far. I’ll know about the other two in the sample pack at a later date. The look and smell of the food doesn’t look or smell bad. Also it said I was going to have a bag and scoop in the box. I never received that.
Response from Happy HowlAug 28, 2026
Thank you so much for your honest feedback! We are so glad to hear the look and smell of the food passed the test, and we hope the other two recipes in your sampler are a big hit. If it turns out lamb just isn't their favorite, we can always customize a combo pack of beef and turkey for you! We are also so sorry to hear that your bag and spoon were missing from your order. We would be more than happy to send you a brand new sample pack completely free of charge—just reply directly to this message if you're interested, and we'll get that taken care of for you right away!

Pickiest dog in the entire world actually ate the beef stew. I'm in awe! Hoping she continues. I bought the samples. If she's consistent I'll subscribe. Don't love support or the website though.

We are in awe right along with you—there is nothing better than seeing a super picky pup dig into a fresh bowl! Fingers crossed she stays just as enthusiastic for the rest of her sampler pack. Thank you as well for your honest feedback about our website and support. If you ever run into any difficulty or have questions about finding the right routine, please drop us a line at [email protected] so we can help!

So far so good, my dog loves it . We will see how this 24 pack shipment goes and if my dog continues to like it. Delivery was on time as promised.

I always give you a 5. The last 3 orders, the box that the order has been packed has been really beat up. Honestly this is not Happy Howls doing, but it kind of reflects on Happy Howl. With that being said, I don't believe for 1 minute there is any food better than Happy Howl!!.
Response from Happy HowlAug 27, 2026
Thank you so much for your incredible loyalty and 5-star support! We completely agree that beat-up delivery boxes reflect on us, even when the shipping carrier is at fault, and we sincerely apologize for those rough deliveries. Hearing that you still believe Happy Howl is the absolute best food means the world to our team. Thank you for being such an awesome part of our pack!
