Nothing could make me wax poetic more than this food company. There are many choices out there--I have tried several but none work for my dog. He has irritable bowel syndrome and chronic pancreatitis, and he needs low fat. Most of the homemade foods out there are high in fat. This one is perfect. Usually my dog starts out liking a food, but it eventually upsets his belly and he won't eat. This is the first food we've been able to stick with. His poop isn't "perfect", but sooo much better and I work with my vet to also use a digestive enzyme with it, and that seems to do the trick. I would recommend Happy Howl to anyone whose dog is having diarrhea. Nothing against any of the other similar foods, I'm sure they work great for other dogs, but if your dog has pancreatitis or has to be on low fat, this fits the bill. And it's less expensive than the prescription food I used to do via Just Food For Dogs. I buy in bulk and he loves all three flavors, and my other dog loves to lick the bowl clean! It's been a year and we are still going strong.
