Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Both my pups are loving the food - I mix it with a dry as well.
Response from Happy HowlJul 14, 2026
Thank you for the fantastic feedback. Seamlessly mixing Happy Howl with dry food is a wonderful way to keep your dogs healthy and excited for mealtime. We are so pleased that both of your pups are thriving on it. Thank you for choosing us to feed your fur babies, and here is to many more clean bowls ahead!

My pup and I both like Happy Howl. The one thing that is a draw back is how you open the box. For older, not so strong hands, the tearing of the tab can be difficult to do unless scissors are used. Then there is the possibility of cutting oneself.
Response from Happy HowlJul 14, 2026
Thank you for the wonderful feedback about our food, and thank you for your honesty regarding our packaging. We are so sorry to hear that the tear-tabs are difficult for your hands to manage and that using scissors feels unsafe. Our airtight cartons are designed to keep the food fresh and shelf-stable, but we hear you loud and clear that the design needs to be user-friendly for everyone. We are passing your comments along to our production team as we constantly look for ways to improve our packaging. We are so grateful to have you and your pup in the Happy Howl family!

My dogs love this food but it felt like it took a long time to arrive.
Response from Happy HowlJul 13, 2026
We are so thrilled to hear that your dogs are absolutely loving their food! However, we are so sorry that it felt like it took too long to arrive at your door. We know how important it is to keep your pups on a consistent schedule, and we are constantly working to speed up our transit times. Thank you so much for your patience, and we'll do our absolute best to get their next batch to you much faster!

That is exactly what we strive for! We believe every pup deserves the highest quality, human-grade nutrition without it costing a fortune, so hearing that we're hitting the perfect balance for you means the world. Thank you for the wonderful shoutout and for being a part of our pack!

We love Happy Howl with one exception! I wish the Turkey recipe did not contain canola oil and wheat flour! We are a gluten free family so am not comfortable feeding our pups Gluten! Dogs love it but I wish it were a notch up with clean! Thank you for asking!
Response from Happy HowlJul 10, 2026
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We appreciate your focus on clean ingredients. We use a premium, nutrient-rich cold-pressed canola oil to keep healthy fats high and our prices fair for our pack. The wheat flour is only present in a very small amount as a natural binder, allowing us to completely avoid synthetic thickeners or carrageenan. We completely understand your family's gluten-free preference, though, and we'll definitely keep this valuable feedback in mind for future recipe development!

It's a great dog food. My 2 little babies are very picky eaters. But they seem to love this. My 2 little girls are so little that 1 box last more than 2 meals. My 2 little girls are 5lbs and 7 1/2lbs.
Response from Happy HowlJul 9, 2026
This is the absolute best kind of feedback! We know how tough it can be to find something that gets the stamp of approval from a tiny, selective eater, let alone two of them. It’s fantastic to know that our recipes are a hit with your little girls and that the boxes are lasting well beyond two meals for their 5lb and 7.5lb frames. Thank you so much for the wonderful shoutout and for being a part of our pack!

My dog likes the food. Her fav is beef.
Response from Happy HowlJul 9, 2026
We love a pup who knows exactly what she wants! Hearing that she is a massive fan of the beef recipe is the absolute best news. There is nothing better than watching them genuinely look forward to mealtime. Thank you so much for letting us know—give your sweet girl an extra love from our whole team!

I bought the variety pack so I could decide on which ones my dogs like they did not like the lamb at all and they really didn’t care for the beef stew but I added a little liver on top and they ate it. My overall experience was good.
Response from Happy HowlJul 7, 2026
We love a clever mealtime hack! Adding a little liver on top is a brilliant way to entice your pack, and we're so glad it did the trick for the beef stew—even if the lamb was a total miss. That is exactly why we offer our variety pack, so you can figure out their absolute favorites with zero guesswork. We are so happy to hear your overall experience was good, and we'd love to help you customize your next order to stick strictly to the recipes they love most!
