First time fee was pretty fair.
I was okay paying the first time fee of $100 to try this food. I have 6 dogs so trying to feed them better is stupidly expensive! For the price, the amount of food was acceptable. One thing I didn't like is how hard the boxes are to open! I have to cut the top off. The other thing I didn't really care for was how most of the food seemed to be dry. My dogs do like the food though.

We do offer bulk packs! You can order packs of 48 or 96 meals at a discounted rate. They’re great for multi-dog households or long-term storage, each meal stays fresh for up to 2 years when unopened.

I thought it looked good
I thought it looked good. But my small dogs don't eat ANYTHING??? They just looked at it. I just tried the sample, because I knew they wouldn't eat it. I'm sorry. I wish they would've liked it. I can make them organic ground beef. and sometimes they turn their nose up at it. So my boxes will be donated to a rescue.

Ordering was easy but my dog didn’t like it
The ordering process was so easy. I got the food in less than two days. Unfortunately, my dog doesn’t like it at all. I am going to donate the food my local dog shelter.

Food is convenient and good quality but very expensive
The food is good quality and the Shelf stability is very convenient but the portions are small and my dog has quickly gotten tired of all three flavors. There should be more variety for the price and you should be able to order a month's supply of whichever flavor you want to.

No enough time to evaluate
My dog has been on Doxycycline for the past few weeks and her appetite has been off, so I was holding off in using the trial pack. She has a tablespoon this morning and seem to like it. I was not happy that you automatically set me up on a subscription. I did push it out 3 months so time will tell if I will go forward with the food.
Response from Happy HowlMay 22, 2026
Thank you so much for sharing this and we hope your sweet girl is feeling better and on the mend, Doxycycline can definitely affect appetite and it sounds like you are such a caring and attentive pet parent for being so mindful of that! We also hear you on the subscription concern and we sincerely apologize for any confusion that may have caused. We do want to make sure you know that our subscription is completely flexible and easy to manage — you can adjust your frequency, change your flavors, pause or cancel at any time! Pushing it out three months was a great move and we think that once your girl is feeling fully back to herself and has had more time to enjoy Happy Howl you are both going to love it! Please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at [email protected] anytime.
