Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

That is what we like to hear! There is nothing better than a clean bowl and a routine that doesn't take up all your storage space. We are so glad everything is working out perfectly for you and your pup. Thanks for the fantastic shoutout!

The communication of the personnel was great. They got back to me in a timely manner about my concerns. I had only purchased the trial pack but the food did not look like that seen in the ads or videos of the dogs eating it. My year old schnauzer rejected both the Tasty Turkey and the Beef Stew despite their suggestions. I have not opened the Lamb Delight yet, but I am not optimistic about its chance of success. My 8 year old schnauzer did eat the Beef Stew, but unfortunately he threw it up two hours later. He had eaten his regular food and when the stew was again rejected by our female I offered it to him. Maybe it was too much food for his stomach to handle. I don't know. She rejected it before eating it and he rejected it after eating it. But the personnel at Happy Howl did try their best by offering suggestions. So I cannot fault them in that respect. My picky eater just isn't among those who were won over by the food.

We can't thank you enough for this incredibly thoughtful review. It means a lot to our team that you recognized our efforts to help, even though the food itself didn't turn out to be the right fit for your picky eater or your senior pup's stomach. We're sorry it didn't work out, but we are so grateful for your fairness and kindness in sharing your experience. Sending lots of love to both of your Schnauzers!

I have some senior dogs and they are doing well on happy howl. The delivery is great. They are excited when I grab their bowl and they clean everything out of the bowls. So far I am satisfied with the content of their food. I use scissors to cut the tops off,my hand don't work so well, I open up the tops and everything comes out,so easy.

That is what we like to hear! There is nothing better than seeing senior dogs get that extra spark of excitement when the bowls come out. We're so glad the food is a big hit and that opening the packs with a quick snip makes your daily routine nice and easy. Thank you for the fantastic shoutout and for trusting us with your pups!

After a year of making Lara’s food of chicken and veggies, it is so great that she loves your food better than mine! And it’s been great for her gut health.
Response from Happy HowlJun 28, 2026
Thank you so much for the wonderful note! Spending a year cooking chicken and veggies for Lara is an incredible labor of love, so we are absolutely honored to take over the kitchen duties. Hearing that she is loving her new meals and that it has been so great for her gut health completely makes our day. We truly appreciate your support!

Our red lab has had stomach issues with kibble since he was a puppy. We started making his food using venison from deer my buddies and I harvest during the season. Unfortunately we ran out of ground venison and decided to give Happy Howl a try. We were able to switch him over to this with 0 issues. We ordered enough to get us to next deer season and will be purchasing more for when I take him on trips. It’s way more convenient then making a few weeks worth of food, vacuum sealing it, and having to keep it frozen. Five stars from us and Riley.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share Riley's story! Moving a pup with a sensitive stomach from a fresh, wild game diet to a new food can be a gamble, so we are thrilled that he switched over to our recipes with zero issues. We're proud to help fill the gap until the next deer season and to make your upcoming trips a whole lot easier to pack for. Thank you for the five-star review and for bringing us into Riley's routine!

All 3 of my heelers love the 3 flavors they have been on it for 2 months
Response from Happy HowlJun 28, 2026
We love hearing this update, and we can't thank you enough for sharing it with us! Keeping a trio of heelers happy and excited at mealtime for two full months is a massive win, and knowing they enjoy the variety of flavors is the best feedback our team could ask for. Thank you for being such a great part of our pack!
