Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

I have been a Happy Howl customer for a long time and my Ollie loves it a bit too much so I had to go to the all turkey. Hopefully that will get him back to weight!

It sounds like Ollie gives our recipes a little too much approval! Thank you so much for being a loyal, long-time customer. Our all-turkey recipe is packed with wholesome, high-quality protein while staying nice and lean, making it the perfect partner for his fitness journey. We look forward to keeping those healthy meals coming, and we're sending Ollie tons of love and encouragement!

It would be nice though if the food was always delivered via UPS. Lately I’ve been getting it via the mail. I’m 70 years old and the box is heavy to carry to my unit.
Response from Happy HowlJul 7, 2026
We completely understand how heavy those boxes can get, and we certainly want to make getting your food as easy as possible! To help clear up why it's arriving with the mail, UPS and USPS actually have a shipping partnership where UPS handles the long-distance transport, but they sometimes hand the package off to your local post office for the final delivery to your mail unit. To make things much easier on you right away, we have gone ahead and split your future subscription orders into two smaller, separate packages! This way, the shipments will be much lighter and more manageable for you to carry. Thank you so much for letting us know, and please give your pup some extra love from us!

We pour so much care into our recipes to make sure they deliver real results, and we are so incredibly grateful to have your sweet trio in our pack. Thank you for sharing the love!

My dog loved the food. He has become extremely picky lately and didn't hesitate to eat this.
Response from Happy HowlJul 6, 2026
Winning over a picky eater is the ultimate victory! There is nothing tougher than watching a pup turn their nose up at mealtime, so hearing that he didn't hesitate for a second to dive into his Happy Howl completely brightens our day. We are so thrilled to have your sweet boy in the pack—thank you for sharing the love!

I started using Happy Howl about 3 months ago for my two dogs. They love the beef, turkey and lamb, however, I noticed that the turkey recipe doesnt work well for them. I still had 28 boxes left and HH sent me 28 Lamb for no charge! Customer service is relatively easy to communicate with. The packages are super convenient and my dogs are healthy and maintaining a good weight.
Response from Happy HowlJul 6, 2026
We are so thrilled to hear that the packages are keeping mealtime convenient and your dogs are doing so well on our food! Every pup's tummy is a little different, so when the turkey recipe wasn't the perfect fit, we wanted to make sure we got the right recipes into their bowls right away. Thank you for the fantastic feedback on our customer service and for sharing your experience. Give your sweet pups some extra love from us!
