First and foremost, we want to assure you that our recipes are formulated by our on-staff board-certified nutritionists to meet AAFCO complete and balanced requirements. Additionally, since we don't use any preservatives or additives in our fresh recipes to keep the color consistent, the veggies in our food can sometimes cause a slight color variation to surrounding ingredients and can assure you that the food pictured on our website is the same food we provide for your dog. Either way, your feedback is greatly appreciated so one of our specialists has reached out to provide any support they can.

While we work closely with our on-staff board-certified nutritionists to figure out the most optimal plan for your dog, we do allow for your preferred recipes to be selected during signup. Additionally, since we operate as subscription service, our trial is intended to provide you and your dog with the opportunity to adjust to a fresh food diet before your subscription's recurring shipments begin. That said, we completely understand that every dog is unique so we hope it's reassuring to know that you're able to pause your plan or make adjustments after your trial is setup to ensure your dog is on the plan that works best for them. In comparison, fresh food, such as the fresh, human-grade recipes we provide, tends to be highly digestible, which can allow the calories to be metabolized more efficiently than in less digestible options. We understand that every dog’s needs are just as unique as they are! Therefore, we provide the opportunity to customize portions at any point to meet the needs of each individual pup. We completely understand that every dog is different and that some may take longer to warm up to a new food source than others. Because of this, we have tips that we are able to provide that other customers have mentioned making a difference with their dog and we apologize that these weren't provided. We're sorry to hear your dog still appears hungry after mealtime! While we're incredibly confident in our board of veterinary nutritionists that formulate our food and calculate portions, we completely recognize all dogs are unique, and our portion recommendations are intended as a starting point. We're always here to assist in adjusting your dog's calorie intake as needed. Since our subscription service is based on each dog's personalized plan, we measure our food by daily calories and as sections of a pack. While the natural moisture content in our food may vary, this does not affect the consistency of calorie content.
