My vet begged me to pull my dog off FD; she is not a fan. My dog has been on FD for months; at first, he LOVED it and couldn't wait for mealtime. Then the chicken recipe changed, and he started vomiting randomly at first and then daily (albeit I would too bc the new chicken smells ghastly). In the last shipments, the chicken and the turkey recipes have huge lumps of protein, which is what he is regurgitating. I pulled him from FD, started refeeding Hill's, and he stopped vomiting immediately. My vet got a "told you so" in. Moreover, 3 of the last 4 shipments arrived damaged and/or with the cold packs burst all over the food, leaving one shipment warm. The customer service is hit or miss... the last rep I emailed with told me to feed my dog the warm shipment essentially. That's when I slowed my roll on FD.

We adopted our pup last year. The kibble they gave us he wanted notthing to do with. Wouldn’t eat it at all. So after seeing every celebrity feeding their dog FD I thought hey let’s try it. It is PRICEY!! But worth it for a healthy doggy. My dog loved it at first, obsessed even. But, then I started noticing he would just randomly vomit, have diarrhea, started having bad tear stains. Lost a lot if weight! He would smell it and walk away! At times he would not eat his breakfast or dinner. I did contact FD and their customer service responded quickly. After his vet checks everything was fine. The only option was to switch his food. We have started to give another company a try that has raw kibble also fresh as an option.

My JRT has been on this food for well over a year. She loved it at first but over time seems to walk away from it often. I did reach out to the company asking if the recipe changed, they said no and to keep them posted how she is doing. Today I received a new shipment and clearly they reduced the pack size. I noticed it right away unboxing. So I weighed a new pack 14.9OZ to an old pack 1lb 5.5OZ!!! This food is super expensive, and now they are reducing the pack size for the same price! I think I will be switching brands. Unacceptable !!!!

Very picky dog loves food. Problem is second delivery arrive 4 days late hot & spoiled. Not sure the at food can be delivered as cold as require. Expansion on review 6/2215/ First, again Dog loves food , however on First delivery after initial food trial receipt, delivery was 4 days late & all food hot & spoiled beyond safe use. My concern is that you can deliver it properly frozen ,consistently in the future.. Secondly , 2-3 days ago I filled a form from TFD , inquiring about the delayed delivery , condition of food & if replacement was needed, which I stated in the affirmative. So far even after 2 calls Monday & Tuesday I have No acknowledgement or indication when or if it will be replaced or that TFD even got the info sent .

First I want to say the food is great. LI berry loves it when we can receive it still mostly frozen and able to keep it in freezer. Our issue was the shipping part. We received I think it was 4 boxes with no dry ice or ice gel packs. The food was hot to touch. They were good about sending out a new box but if I cannot count on the box being prepared correctly for food safety how can I count on them for the safety of Liberty. When I cancelled I stated they have an issue in the packing area. It has to be expensive to keep replacing orders. Summer is here and I cannot trust it will arrive cold especially since it didn’t a few times. If they can figure out a better ship method I would definitely try again.

My dog loves the food, however it isn't cheap, which is fine as the food is good quality. We recently moved and I tried to change the address before the food was even made. I called a couple of days ago and my order is still under the processing stage. When I called, the customer service rep told me it was too late to change the address. I was very upset as all they had to do was change the address. It is still under processing today. The food may be good, but the customer service is lacking.

Recently the Farmer’s dog made changes to their packaging size and shipment frequency and therefore pricing with zero transparency and zero customer notification. The last order I received equated to 22 days worth of meals, where previous orders were 32 days worth of meals. This change made the cost per day change form $5.84 to $7.94. At a per day meal cost increase of $2.10 which equates to an annual cost increase of $766.50. If calculated per shipment the increase is $764.69. The Farmer’s Dog made these exorbitant price increases with zero transparency, zero notification and zero explanation. I no longer trust The Farmer’s Dog. If they are not transparent about packaging and pricing changes, why would I trust them on product quality. Seems they are trying to make more $$$ with these changes so I also wonder if the recipes are changing to cut costs.
