Our food is made with fresh, whole ingredients that are safe for humans to eat, gently cooked so you can still see and smell each component, and then quickly frozen to protect nutritional integrity. We keep the packs frozen right before shipping so they arrive safely and stay cold on their way to you. Nonetheless, we're sorry your experience fell short of expectations, and are here to help however we can. Additionally, all subscriptions are customized to your pup's specific information, such as age, weight, activity level, and body condition, to come up with the appropriate calorie recommendations for each of our fresh recipes. When it comes to our sign-up flow, I can confirm we do ask for the breed for each dog profile created to ensure our system creates the best plan suited for them. I apologize if there was any confusion when creating your dog profiles. Additionally, I want to assure you that there is nothing unique about our recipes that would label them as a high-fat diet. Our recipes are formulated by Board-Certified vet nutritionists, and we have a team of vets on staff who are happy to share information with your vet as well. Thanks so much for the feedback. We're sorry to hear about any frustration caused with thawing our fresh food. Our packs take about 12 hours to defrost in the fridge depending on what temperature it's set at. Rest assured, it's okay if your packs take 1 or 2 days to defrost completely — they'll still be fresh up to 4 days. While we always recommend defrosting packs in the fridge, if you need to defrost in a pinch, you can defrost the packs under running cold water in the sink.
