Finally… a dog food my picky Yorkie actually loves (and thrives on)! I have a 6-year-old Silky/Yorkie Terrier who is the pickiest eater on the planet. Over the years, I’ve tried countless brands, treats, and even breed-specific formulas—only for them to be ignored, cause upset stomachs, or go straight to waste. The only thing he’d consistently eat was a very specific type of ham (which I know isn’t great for him). So when I came across The Farmer’s Dog trial, I figured, why not? The box arrived frozen with simple feeding instructions and convenient packaging. At first, he gave it the usual sniff-and-walk-away. But 20 minutes later… he came back, chose the new food over his regular, and actually ate it! I braced for the usual aftermath: diarrhea, vomiting, goopy eyes, or general belly issues. But to my absolute shock—none of that happened. His stools were solid, his eyes stayed clear, and best of all, he kept eating it day after day. This dog used to need hand-feeding or food served on the floor just to eat. Now? He finishes his meals, has more energy, and is genuinely more playful. After all the trial and error, wasted money, and stomach issues, I can confidently say The Farmer’s Dog is the only food that’s worked. No tummy troubles, no weird ingredients—just real food he enjoys and that I can feel good about feeding him. Thank you, Farmer’s Dog, for finally giving my picky pup something healthy he actually loves.

We are now three shipments into Lily eating the farmers dog. It was a very good decision to have made for her. She is happier has more energy and really gets excited and does the food dance before I feed her. She is happier and when Lily is happy, my world is all in order. I have had a couple of acquaintances comment on the price of the food.. the way I look at it is the price is worth it for the fact that I haven’t had to take her to the vet for any intestinal issues since I started her on this food. That makes it more than worthwhile. This is a great choice and you couldn’t do a better thing for your four legged babies. One of the best decisions I have made.

Titan’s food arrived partially thawed and I was super worried—but Farmer’s Dog handled it like champs. They responded quickly, apologized sincerely, and had a fresh replacement box in the works within hours. No hoops to jump through, no hassle. They even shared a backup recipe in case Titan needed a homemade meal while we waited. That level of thoughtfulness? You don’t get that everywhere. Mistakes happen—but how a company handles it matters. Farmer’s Dog went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Titan’s happy, healthy, and well-fed—and I’m sticking with them for the long haul!

I received Bug and Bell about 2months ago. When I got them, they had itchy skin, dull coats and really bad gas. After 2 months of The Farmers dog, their coats are so shiny that people tell me they look like velvet. They no longer have gas, and they can't wait to eat.

I'm writing to let Farmers Dog know my dogs have been on Farmers Dog for a year now. On Instagram, I am always disappointed to see competing "healthy" dog food companies malign Farmers Dog as being the inferior product. Tug and Toby have never eaten kibble nor do they receive any ready to eat dog treats. They simply get their two daily meals of Farmers Dog. In the morning, I add a fresh egg to each. I also add fresh raw stew meat as a topper with each meal. Both of my dogs have zero health issues of any form, as no doubt their gut flora is just about perfect, as it was meant to be. They take no prescription drugs either. I've had other dogs, and unfortunately, I was not in tune or aware of the consequences of their diet before, as what I fed them was "veterinary approved". My previous dogs all were on various top shelf kibble and all died too soon and with health issues. Now that I know I was responsible for their health conditions and premature deaths, I take great relief in knowing the diet my present dogs are on, give them a fighting chance at a longer, far more healthier lifetime. It started out bad because the delivery person did not find our house. The delivery person said they got stuck coming to our house and therefore couldn’t deliver it. After trying to get through to the delivery people with no success,I called directly to farmers dog and had a completely different experience! The first person I talked to was very helpful. I sent them pictures of our house showing that obviously the delivery people did not come to the right house and I was concerned because I’m watching my son’s dog while he and his family are in Germany, and I only had two days left of the food. I believe I talked with three different people over the two days that I was trying to straighten out the situation. Every one of the people from farmers dog food were sympathetic, courteous, and helpful. They contacted the delivery service and after realizing they wouldn’t be able to get the food to me, farmers Dog sent a brand new box. They kept me updated on the process from the moment I called, going out of their way to make sure my granddog got her food in time. In this day and age when trying to get something corrected is sometimes a nightmare, the people at Farmers Dog did not give up but kept working to correct the situation. At this time, I don’t have any dogs, but I can highly recommend The Farmers Dog, not only for the excellent food that they prepare, which Mila loves, but for the professional associates that walked me through a very stressful situation. Thank you so much to Lisa and Nick and the one or two others who were helping me. You were all very efficient and timely in getting my problem solved. We have fed our dogs The Farmer's Dog food for 3 years now. Our two French Bulldogs are 4 years old and they now slow down to eat their food and the digestive process is very good too. They not longer vomit after eating too fast and their bodily functions are regular & they never get upset stomach or diarrhea or constipation. They really love the Turkey Treats too. I'm very careful with their treats because some tear up their little systems. We live in a very rural area and occasionally we have a problem with delivery. Most recently, due to the extremely hot heat wave all the food was delivered completely defrosted & warm. There was a mix up in the ordering of the replacement food but Mikayla stepped in & had a replacement order shipped out immediately and the new order arrived within 3 days. **I do have one suggestion: I think it would help during the summer months to increase the amount of the dry ice used in packing. Most times our food is delivered & all dry ice is gone & some bags are getting soft. (I know this is still OK to feed them) but this would help with unexpected shipping delays. This is an awesome experience. I have just started my dog on The Farmer's Dog. When I ordered I received update emails on letting me know the status of my order. They even kept track and when they saw the order would not reach me in a timely manner, they emailed me to let me know not to use the first box when it arrived so it would not harm my dog. They automatically reshipped a fresh order and it arrived without issues. My dog is loving it so far and has been on it now for about 2 weeks. I can tell he has a little more pep in his step. I am very pleased with the product so far and have had excellent customer support. I recommend The Farmer's Dog for everyone.
