We're so sorry to hear this, John. Deliveries frequently late, leaving my poor dog without sufficient supply.
Been using Farmer's Dog for months. Quality of food is fine. Packaging is a messy affair given that a lot of the product is wasted due to poor choice of packaging. That's tolerable, however. MAIN ISSUE/GRIPE: Food arrives late all too often, sometimes one meal late, sometimes one day late, this last time five days late! Each time I call and they apologize. Yet, each time it happens again, all too often. Quality control is clearly unimportant to this company. I will be canceling and I suggest you seek a more responsible food provider when choosing for your dog. Really, I have never seen anything like this.

I would give negative stars if I could
I would give negative stars if I could. I started my dog on the farmers dog and she loved it, I’ll give them that. She is a very healthy, three year old golden retriever. However one day she got violently sick. Throwing up, bloody, mucous like stool, even dripping blood from her butt. Sorry, gross, I know. We took her to the emergency vet who ran a bunch of tests, found nothing “really” wrong, gave us probiotics and had us feed her a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice) for 3 days and then gradually adding her regular food back in. A week and a half later she was sick again and another trip to the emergency vet. They essentially did the same thing as the first time, ran all the same tests, sent us with a different probiotic and put her on a bland diet. Two weeks later(I did the bland diet for 7 days before incorporating her regular food) she was able to get an urgent care visit at her regular vet who suggested switching back to kibble after more probiotics and a bland diet. It worked. It’s been about 8 months with no issues. I asked my husbands sister in law who is a vet tech and she said it’s unreal how many dogs she sees that have been sick (that have no underlying issues) and their food is the farmers dog.
If you want fresh food like this for your dog I strongly suggest making your own. Our vet informed us that it’s becoming more common for dogs to come in contact with mold or whatever else from these big name “fresh food” companies. They think that’s what happened with our dog. Please do not buy this thinking you’ll be giving your sweet doggo a healthy, good meal. Save yourself over 10k of vet bills. We even have pet insurance and this put us 10k in the hole.

Not great service or price
They are great at being apologetic and patronizing but they don't take feedback from their customers seriously. The food is overpriced and not delivered on time. My delivery sat on a truck all weekend instead of being delivered the same day by UPS. so, they still allowed it to be delivered and have me discard the spolied delivery. No offer to discount the corrected shipment either. It looks like Petco is now offering less expensive fresh food in their stores so that is what I am trying next.

Horrible customer service
I love the product my dog love the product. Today the delivery service did not leave my order at my door but at a neighbor house. I immediately called to see where it was, and found out it's at my neighbors house, I ask them to have the delivery service to come back and bring it at my house. And of course they say they are able to do this, its rainy and cold and the box is heavy. They said I would have to retrieve it myself. I was not happy with the Heather customer service agent who I was dealing with, I felt she didn't care. I told her have that delivery service should pay my order, and she said no we can't do that. Finally she offered a partial refund. Its not about the money its about the service. It's not cheap buying for two dogs, but they really love it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he did return my call quickly, he was apologetic but really did not make me happy and felt cared for the their delivery service more than me. At this point I canceled my subscription with them. If I'm paying this much for this product I need it at my door and have to go retrieve it down the street. The box was was wet since its rainy and cold in Dallas, I got my feet, I hope I dont get sick. I got my hardwood floors wet. They do have great food but did not make this customer happy.

Not giving correct calorie count
I had my dog on Farmers Dog . She started at a 72 lb weight a month later 62 lbs and a month after that 51lbs she was slowly wasting away. After visit to vet and over $1,000 later it was confirmed she was not given the proper calories. She was starving via lack of calories, I contact them to inform them of the incident the response was there was a possible computer glitch. I informed them she was being shorted 400-500 calories daily. They said if i wanted to get the calories needed it would be costing me $300 for a 2 week supply prior i was paying $180 for 3 week supply. NOT good business practice…..I would not recommend😡.

My dog wouldn’t eat it.
My dog wouldn’t eat it. Canceled the subscription and they sent me yet another 2 weeks of food. Stated it was already in the process even though it wasn’t due for 3 weeks. Not a trustworthy business practice and that speaks to the entire company. IMO

The farmers dog food caused severe problems to my pomsky and they are disclosing that it is safe for all breeds but they are falsely advertising this and we all need to come together to stop this food from hurting another puppy again.
