Terminix is a scam. The person who did our service was nice and did the best he could, however the company is just taking advantage of people. Every time the gentleman came out to lay traps, spray for ants, etc. he told us there wasn’t much else that could be done and after 6 months of no improvement, we decided to cancel. When attempting to cancel, terminix purposefully waited through two payment cycles to push our cancellation through. I even tried going through the tech and he said they specifically don’t give them ability to do cancellations. I tried to be nice and requested simply 1 month back instead of 2 (which btw neither of the months we got service during due to scheduling issues) and when I expressed frustration to the rep explaining I know this is not her fault but this isn’t fair to us, she refused to help me simply because I sounded frustration. It’s a scam. Don’t use this company.

I am filing this complaint because I continue to receive an excessive amount of unsolicited advertising mail from this company despite not wanting to receive it. Last week, I received FOUR advertising mailers at my home. This week, I have already received THREE more. That is SEVEN unsolicited advertising mailers in only two weeks. I have no interest in receiving these advertisements or promotional materials. I have already returned the previous advertising mail to USPS, yet the company continues sending more. I am requesting that the company immediately and permanently remove my name and address from all mailing lists, marketing databases, promotional lists, and any other records used to send advertising materials. I do not want any further advertising mail, promotional materials, phone calls, emails, or other marketing communications from this company. I believe the continued volume of unwanted advertising mail, especially after I have already taken steps to return the mail to USPS, is excessive and extremely frustrating. I am asking the company to respect my request, stop sending unsolicited advertising materials, and permanently remove my information from their marketing and mailing lists. If these mailings continue after this complaint, I will consider taking further steps and filing additional complaints with the appropriate agencies.

Unprofessional, overcharge. I do not recommend this company.

BE ADVISED - it apparently will take an act from the US Congress to get your service cancelled. My cancellation requests (x2) have been redirected to their "Cancellation Team," which is people trained to demand reasons from you for the cancellation. It's like dealing with a bunch of aggressive used shoe salesmen. Terminix's business model appears to be modeled after A) piss poor service from unmotivated technicians, and B) an almost outright refusal to terminate contracts. Ever. Very evident that the CSRs at the Cancellation Team are working off several aggressive questions posted in their cubicle for regurgitation to dissatisfied customers. Shouldn't be this hard to simply cancel service -- I guess that aggressive soft-denial of cancellations without providing "justification" from the customer speaks volumes about how poor the service is to begin with (hence the reluctance to lose the monthly payments).

We had a monthly service contract with Terminix. They are horrible to deal with. Missed appointments and shoddy billing practices are the norm for this company. We have been getting repeated calls from their AR department related to a service that we didn't receive. This has been ongoing since March of 2026. I have been assured multiple times that the issue has been resolved, yet the phone calls and letters continue. This company is terrible to deal with.

We made several phone calls to Terminix, speaking with several different customers service representatives to address our complaint. Each person took our complaint and schedule a date and time for a technician to follow up. Unfortunately, none of it was followed through. I made 2 calls requesting a branch office manager for the location in service area to contact me immediately. Unfortunately, I haven't spoken to a branch office manager to address my issue and concern. Although the contract is paid in full I feel that we've been deceived and not receiving the fulfillment of our request. All we want is for a manager to hear and address the problem. Now that we've addressed the problem, can't get a response to solve the problem, it's time to move forward to administration. If I would've done my investigation on Terminix, they wouldn't have been servicing my home. We've been seeking help for one month and all we've gotten was broken promises and fulfillments. This company is a BAD SERVICE PROVIDER and we are moving forward to seek compensation.

Please do not use this company, Terminix Michigan. They overpromise and underdeliver on their services. We ended up paying over $2,000 for a one-year contract, but they did not arrive on time or as scheduled. I regret not checking reviews beforehand. The last technician who came to our property appeared to be under the influence and was visibly shaking during the visit. Despite our efforts, mice are still entering our home, so we had to contact another reputable and reliable pest control company. My primary concern with this company is the difficulty in reaching someone for assistance. Additionally, their solution to the mice problem has been to advise leaving traps, which I believe could be better addressed by a more comprehensive approach. If I wanted to set traps myself, I would have purchased them from a local store.

I rescue cats and kittens, so when a sudden flea invasion hit, I called Terminix expecting professional help. What I got instead was a masterclass in how to charge hundreds of dollars for doing almost nothing while dumping the entire burden on the customer. They talk a big game on the phone — “No problem, we’ll take care of it” — but the reality is pure disruption and incompetence. They demand you pack up every pet and vanish for hours while their poison “settles.” Vacuum the entire house excessively every single day for weeks. Open every window. Shut down your HVAC. The list of ridiculous customer labor goes on and on. Then their tech shows up, sprays, and leaves. You’re left doing all the actual work while they collect the check. If the fleas come back in two weeks? No problem, just pay them again and repeat the whole circus. No accountability, no real solution, just another opportunity to bill you. This is the opposite of customer service. It’s just another company that has perfected the art of sounding helpful while making the customer do everything and suffer the consequences. Lazy, entitled, and completely unwilling to accommodate people who actually live with animals. Avoid them.
