Between the app and the website it changes the amount I owe by 5 or more dollars, plus the fee to even pay your rent can add up to 100 or more dollars depending on how much you even pay. Also it doesnt allow you to pay new rent until the old/overdue charges are paid, which is great if it were correct. It states I owe 140 from this month, which are my late charges but I still have late charges from June that were not paid but should have been with as much as I paid. This has me in a tiff with my landlord because im still accruing late fees from June and July now that tenant cloud isn't counting on what is late but my full outstanding balance. Which makes no sense. My outstanding is 770, but what is over due/late is 140. How does that even work??? (This is minus the rent that is available to pay 3 days early)

The new interface for 2026 is horrible, adds 8+ extra clicks to every function and the accounting acreens are so broke up it is impossible to scan the transactions on a property without changing screens and changing pull down menus. The owner pull down menu isn't alphabetized because a chronological list is helpful in exactly 0 business transactions. I have been a 6+ year user and they have given me free training sessions to learn their new system. I would have said they were the best software out there when comparing pricing and features and it is still good for small landlords but in this price range Turbo Tenant is cheaper and more user friendly. I'm still in the process of moving to new software that is more expensive but better flow and better accounting features.

Oh no. I came here to write about my continued positive experience with TenantCloud and I am sad to discover its current overall rating. I am an accidental landlord with a single rental property that became mine after the passing of my father. Since I am not a landlord or property manager by profession, I found the ins-and-outs of the real estate business to be a bit overwhelming. I think the TenantCloud platform is geared toward professionals with multiple properties, and as such has a bit more set up and structure to it than what I need. With that said, it has truly been my experience that when I called their customer support line at (737) 300-9331, they have always been there to pick up the phone and talk to a live person. Their support people are stateside and know their product well off the top of their heads. They have been able to hand hold me along the process and answer my questions straight away. Although some aspects of their product may be confusing (to me), they've consistently stood by it to walk me through to the right answer.

Their communication and follow-up when issues arise have been extremely disappointing. As a property management company, timely support is critical, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Getting assistance with account problems has been frustrating, with poor communication and little follow-through. If you manage multiple rental units, this is not a software platform I would recommend. Do not use this software if you manage any significant volume. TenantCloud cost our Charlotte portfolio thousands in lost productivity when its lease engine failed during a major move-in push, sending blank documents to renters. Their screening system is slow and flagged inaccurate background histories, causing hot leads to fall through. When we reached out about the massive administrative overhead this caused, support offered an insulting $30 credit. It actively disrupts occupancy rates and frustrates applicants. Stay away.

I recently onboarded 70 new tenants using TenantCloud's lease creation tool with auto-population fields. Unknown to me, the auto-fill feature broke during this process — but the error was only visible on the tenant side, meaning all their leases appeared completely blank. I had no way of knowing until tenants started reaching out confused. This forced me to meet with every single tenant individually to redo each lease by hand. The time lost cost me thousands of dollars in productivity, and the experience seriously damaged my tenants' trust in the system. Several now refuse to use TenantCloud entirely, which means I'm back to collecting paper checks — an ongoing operational burden that shows no sign of letting up. When I contacted TenantCloud support, I was told the bug would be fixed within a few weeks. As compensation for the thousands of dollars in losses and the lasting damage to my tenant relationships, they offered me a $30 credit — which didn't even cover what I paid them, let alone the real cost of the failure. I cannot recommend TenantCloud to other landlords or property managers. A platform bug of this magnitude — one that is invisible to the account holder but breaks every lease for incoming tenants — is a serious reliability issue. The response from their support team did not reflect the severity of the situation.

I am currently in the process of applying for a rental and if I didn’t pay so much for my computer, I would have thrown it by now. This has to be the worst platform I have ever navigated. It’s only because the property manager I’m working with has the patience of a saint that I’m still in this process. It has been 6 days now that both my husband, myself and the property manager have done this back and forth nonsense with uploads. Not to mention the information Tenant Cloud has about me is all over the place. Missing residential history information, the spelling of my employer is incorrect. Moving on to navigating uploading the required documents: we’ve uploaded the documents and then we’re told it was uploaded in the wrong location however when we try to upload the documents in the location Tenant Cloud requires, the edit option is greyed out and there is no way to change it so that the documents can successfully be uploaded. Our property manager even inquired if she could upload through her system and was told, no. Additionally I have never needed to provide such invasive financial information for a rental. Mine and my husbands bank statement? Our check stubs should be efficient to show our income far exceeds the rental amount. Who is viewing our banking account information? If you’re purchasing a home, understandable. Such invasive personal information is overreach for a rental property. The only reason I’m showing it for this situation is because I trust the property manager. If it were anyone else, I’d pass. I have seen nothing from Tenant Cloud assuring me that our personal information is kept private and with all the fraud that exists today Tenant Cloud needs to hold themselves accountable by assuring landlords and tenants that the info provided to their site is protected. I have worked with many different softwares and this one is the furthest from user friendly that I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with. What makes matters worse is when the property manager inquires if she is able to upload check stubs in the correct place from her system Tenant Cloud says no and still leaves it hanging for the applicant to figure out. I can already see multiple missed opportunities for landlords and tenants by no fault of theirs, rather the fault of Tenant Cloud with a platform that is far from user friendly, has prior applicant information incorrect which has the potential to cause a denial, And that’s after the applicant has jumped through hoops and jumped up, down, sideways, uploading documents standing on their head and upside down.
