Awful customer service. AI answers are nonsense and not helping as usual. The customer service is not existing. 3 Mails without answer! So upset. I purchased the camtasia create licence. Got recipt, got my clients account, but no system key, so I basically can't use any of the features I bought. And in my account it says active from yesterday. In the end they could solve my problem it is now working although the sound program keeps continuously failing.

The product maybe great but I don't get a software key a week after paying for it. The software key is nowhere to be found: receipt, email, account on their website. I don't have luck in reaching their support either. update: I'm dropping rating from 3 to 2 stars, as their response to my review is to "provide more information", rather than trying to fix the problem (I had provided my order number). I don't what they want, and how I can help them. update: The response to my update was swift. Kudos for that. My trouble is that I keep getting the nasty "Your Trial Ends in x Days" error. It won't go away until I either "Continue Trial" or "Enter Software Key". The problem is, I have already bought it.

Been using Camtasia on and off for 10 years.The software is nice and easy to use. Most recently subscribed to the 2023 version, which crashed and reverted to a trial version. Support is pretty hopeless so far. Apparently, they need time to sort it. I'm not hopeful looking at some of the other comments on here. (Gave it one star) Three hours later: I'm now with the third support person. I guess at least they are trying. Another three hours later: (changed to four stars) I must say, Techsmiths have redeemed themselves somewhat by fixing the situation very quickly when the right person arrived at the crash site. Huge thanks to Anthony for sorting it out quickly and painlessly I just hope this crazy error was a one-off. August 2024: The issue wasn't a one-off and now I'm once again in the support loop, getting questions and instructions that are not at all helpful. The software is great when it works, but Techsmith really need to sort out their support. 24 hrs later I'm still no further.

Camtasia will respond but expect it to take 24-48 hours, which can be a long wait if you're working on a project with a deadline. Also, their responses are not very personal or detailed regarding the specifics of your question(s) and are usually just a link to watch a video. Quite disappointed.

Furthermore, Snagit's intuitive editing capabilities facilitate quick modifications to the screenshots. Undoubtedly, Snagit has significantly enhanced my communication with others. However, it's disheartening to note that there has been an unresolved bug persisting in Snagit for the past three years, rendering it virtually unusable for many individuals. This particular issue arises when capturing screens with HDR-enabled displays, resulting in washed-out and overly bright snapshots that inaccurately represent the content displayed on HDR screens. Numerous users have reported this bug to TechSmith, as evidenced by the following support thread: [link to the support thread]. Despite the bug's prolonged existence, there seems to be no visible progress toward a resolution. Regrettably, when contacting Snagit support for assistance, their recommended solution of disabling HDR proves ineffective, as it compromises the screen's visual quality, negating the purpose of having HDR in the first place. This ongoing issue is undoubtedly disheartening. It is our sincere hope that TechSmith will promptly address this bug in the coming days, allowing users to resume their work and continue benefiting from this otherwise exceptional product. The resolution of this problem would undoubtedly safeguard Snagit's reputation as a reliable and invaluable tool in the long run.

(Review for SnagIt and Camtasia) These 2 applications by this company are among the best in their genre. Snagit contains all that you need to create professional-looking screenshots with many tools for annotation, cropping, and editing that can help a lot. I use it both for quick screenshot cropping to send with instant messages AND professional screenshots to send to my staff on how to do things with the computers. Camtasia is also the best screen capture I've ever used, can create quick and professional-looking training videos, with also many tools for annotating and adding effects on videos, sounds, and mixing. The new features they keep adding are generally very good, including some smart and AI-based options that add real value. However, I’ve deducted two stars because they’ve moved to an annual subscription model and keep raising prices, which makes it much harder to justify than before.
