I went to purchase an attached home from Aurora Highlands Colorado. My mom has stage 2 breast cancer going through Chemo so I went looking for one level homes where my mom can feel at home again with just one floor (as she cannot do stairs anymore). I was told to start a build they needed 30K (my life savings but I’d do anything for my mom) so I put the money down. Next thing I know someone else put 30k down on the same house I did but supposedly faster than me. So the lady selling homes within said her boss will not open new lots so I had to take an already started, already picked out appliances and the whole show…. They said you are already passed your limit to get your money back so for my mother we decided okay that’s fine we don’t want to lose our money. 3 days before singing Taylor Morrison calls me to say.. we are cancelling your contract and keeping your money because you didn’t sell your townhouse. Now as the process goes from the moment I put my money down… finance would not call me back/email me for questions I had.. I got “out of the office”, went every week to look at house we were so excited about. Basement had huge puddle of water from a busted pipe coming from master bathroom toilet.. rotting the floor entirely where the toilet was at and the entire basement ceiling… I turned that in and it was said they would fix it but day of walk through the floor was never fixed and had to be replaced entirely.. Taylor Morrison would hug my mom as we came to visit the home and be so kind yet the straight up took my money that I needed for my mom… said they would give us a year to use our 30k but now nobody will even view my townhouse since this all began.. may have been coincidence, but just seems to weird as I was taken for my money..

I'd be very careful before purchasing a town home and Taylor Morrison's Artisan lake subdivision. We're not supposed to be responsible for anything on the outside now we're responsible for everything including the fact they want us to pay $120,000 to repair the plastic fences that will only get ripped down the next time. Parking is very poor here they threaten to tow.

Such a huge scam! Building million dollar homes and such low quality work and materials. So highly disappointed to be in such a reputable community under such a horrible builder. Our neighborhood is literally filing a lawsuit against them for such bad work.

Man they do not know how to build a home.

I would never use such a POS builder they should have their license taken

Terrible quality builds with dangerous violations: incomplete leaky gas lines, unsecured truss members etc. Taylor Morrison builders will also attempt to halt certain inspections from being completed and go after the inspectors licenses when the results of the inspections are made public. If you value you and your family's safety stay away.

Instead of building your houses correctly, you decide to go after the home inspectror that outted your horrible workmanship.
