Please know that a lot of the positive reviews here may be prompted after an initial phone call which promises relief. You call from a vulnerable place, perhaps desperate like I was. I was immediately so relieved. I understood that my approximately $50,000 in tax debt could be brought down to “little to no debt.” I was elated. You'll pay $750 for an “investigation.” After that comes the call offering relief. After THAT, I received multiple automated emails requesting a review. Following such enormous relief, I was happy to leave a positive review. I wish I had waited. What I believed I was purchasing and what I later learned I had actually purchased were very different. I called specifically seeking help resolving approximately $50,000 in old California Franchise Tax Board debt. I ultimately got more than $1,000 into the process before stopping further payments when I learned they were working on preparing tax years between 2020 and 2024. Not the debt I had called them to resolve. I didn't have any debt from that period. It would not have made any sense for me to request assistance for that time. This has been a *terribly* distressing experience. I have attempted to resolve it directly with the company and requested a refund. My request was denied because they say I am outside the applicable rescission period. My advice: do not sign anything until you have carefully read the agreements and have IN WRITING exactly which tax debt, tax years, and taxing authority they are addressing; exactly what service they are providing; what result they are proposing; and what your refund rights are. If you are in a vulnerable place, please don't let the enormous relief you may feel after that first conversation cause you to move faster than you otherwise would. Take the paperwork away. Read it. Take your time. Have someone else read it. Understand exactly what you're buying before you pay. It's a terrible feeling to believe you've been taken advantage of when you sought help because you were already overwhelmed. I trusted this company and I regret it. Let my naive loss be your gain.

I’ve been a client of TaxQuotes for many years and they have done a fantastic job for 3 years from alleviating my tax burden 4 years ago and then doing my taxes for the 2 years that followed. This year they assigned an agent named Joshua Carson and he completely ignored me this year. I first contacted him early this year and sent him all my information but he ignored my messages and calls. So I got a local accountant to file an extension in April out of desperation because I know I can’t mess up on my taxes and he never replied to any of my attempts to contact him. So I called up the general phone number a couple of months later and darn my luck they assigned him to me once again. Today is one day after the extension deadline and I had a local accountant take care of my taxes because he once again ignored me. TaxQuotes helped me tremendously as a company but Joshua Carson is a liability to their company. I 100% recommend the company but if they assign him to you please just ask for someone else. I posted a 5 star review four years ago. Today it deserved 1 star.

I hired this firm to file behind taxes from 2022-2025 with the understanding they would assist in removing or reducing penalties/interest accrued from the Fed and State. So far it has been 2 months and taxes and not filed yet. TaxQuotes just messaged me via their portal, that they do not assist with penalty/fee relief, yet the majority of their marketing states otherwise. In fact, their entire social media advertisements and even their website promote this as a call to action. Regarding communication, it is strictly limited to their proprietary portal - the issue is notifications are not sent once a message is posted. Resulting in 2-3 day delays between simple questions that could be more efficiently addressed over a simple email or quick 2 minute call. Regarding service, be aware the individual you initially engage with is NOT the tax professional, simply a sales rep. Once you sign the commitment, you are randomly assigned an account manager (who is not a tax professional), I have yet to discuss directly with the CPA/EA that is assigned to my file - which is important if you have questions regarding specific tax issues. My biggest issue is that I signed up for (4) separate tax year filings, and the agreement prohibits you from cancelling and receiving a refund. I am regretting my decision to move forward with this firm, but I have no choice to continue since agreement was signed prior to understanding how their process actually works. If their services and process were accurately marketed I would have never signed up for this.

I cannot recommend Tax Quotes highly enough. I came to them with a complicated and extremely stressful IRS situation involving multiple tax years and a significant outstanding balance. At various points in the process, the situation felt genuinely overwhelming, particularly when the IRS initially proposed a monthly payment that would have had an enormous impact on me financially. The Tax Quotes team worked through a difficult collections process, dealt directly with the Revenue Officer, escalated the matter when necessary, kept working toward a better resolution, and ultimately achieved an outcome that was dramatically better and far more sustainable than where things started. I especially want to recognize Geralyn and the team for their persistence. There were moments when I was anxious and probably needed more reassurance than the average client, but when it mattered, they kept working the case and delivered. What impressed me most is that they didn't simply get me an agreement so they could close the file. They continued working to get me a better agreement. That distinction ended up making an enormous difference in my life. While I know every person's situation and outcome will be different, I'm genuinely grateful to Tax Quotes for what they accomplished for me personally. If you're dealing with a serious IRS collection issue and feel like there isn't a way out, I would absolutely recommend speaking with them.

Had a great experience my tax quote professional was very informative with everything answered all my questions helped me prepare for each of my next steps I had multiple years of taxes to take care of and we were able to get it taken care of he helped me reduce any payments that I had as much as possible only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price to get this help was really expensive I paid $460 3 months in a row just to be able to do this but was worth it with everything I had to do and take care of
