We've been using it for a while, and there's no service. This has absolutely needed to be surfaced as a service whose job is to keep things on track. I once got totally scolded by their customer service for asking for an update after 2 emails.

Our first month they delayed starting for another month because they felt like it. Second month they were supposed to file then just didn't. I had to do it myself then they filed again, but late. They demand your sales tax account passwords for many states which is terribly insecure practice. A sales tax site should have a... function to calculate sales tax. And said sales tax calculation is instant since it is literally a lookup and a multiplication. Nope. On the starter plan you can upload a CSV then several hours later a calculation might show up. Complain that it's broken and all they do is say to use their API, which costs more money. Starter is basically a bait and switch scam. The website is broken. The database lags behind so you upload transactions then go to look and they're not present.

I feel there's a bait-and-switch going on. I had a meeting with one of the representatives, and I was looking for more information on whether there was a free plan for home-state filing and nexus monitoring for other states, and he immediately said no; the information on the website is wrong. Then I inquired about the starter package; he immediately told me that wouldn't work for me. He was in a rush to get me off the meeting without any recommendations and promised to email me a TaxCloud video presentation that I never received. Maybe I'll try another meeting with someone else.

Constant Technical Issues. Since contracting in Jan 2026, have had 1) I had to write a complicated interface from QB Desktop.. no one told me about. 2) Constant Upload issues, tech support is slow to respond. 3) Initiated a return that resulted in a state withdrawing funds from my bank...a state we dont do business in. And they act like it is just business as usual... costing me days in extra work

Terrible support. Replies come once a week, there is no chat, and in the end I cannot even get a clear answer about pricing within two weeks.

Terrible experience working with TaxCloud. Been trying to understand what was remitted over for my business for each state and it's now been two years no answers. I am told to look at the Jurisdiction report, but okay if I could get the answer from the Jurisdiction report why can't they show me what to look at and give me an answer? When I first signed up with TaxCloud, I had reached out for help with setting up my sales tax. They ill informed me that I needed to sign up for all SST states. Come to find out I was charging sales tax in many states that I did not hit Nexus in. If you ever have any questions on what was remitted over for your business in a certain state you will never get an answer. Totals never matched with what sales tax I was collecting. Still waiting on answers to get the totals. I think they are just ignoring me now. Do yourself a favor and try Numeral or someone else besides TaxCloud. I'm sure they will reply to this review but that does not mean I will get any of the answers to any of my questions regarding what the hell they paid for on my behalf. All just a big mystery somehow hidden in spreed sheets that no body from TaxCloud can seem to show me.

**Follow-up Review:** I have been waiting over two years, and the Square API issues still persist! Although the support team has been helpful, there seems to be a significant disconnect with the API group. This ongoing issue is preventing SST compliance, and my business is at risk of non-compliance due to TaxCloud's inability to file accurately. I'm trying to give TaxCloud a chance to resolve this, but my patience is wearing thin. My next step may be to file complaints with the Attorney Generals in states where TaxCloud is failing to meet filing requirements. I am urgently awaiting executive intervention to address and finally resolve this matter!
