I took a 5 days tour from NY to Canada east coast delux tour in June 2018. The tour was well organized except couple of situations where they could have done better management. Tour guide Josh was awesome. He knew most of the region very well and did a good job on providing lot of information in both English and Chinese languages. Most of the tourist were Chinese except, two Indian families , including mine. My biggest negative remark is that the Bus was not in a good condition. It was bit old and driver never bothered to clean the bus during entire tour of 5 days. The bus was stinking from day 3 onwards and on the last day it was stinking with urine, since some of the passangers used the bathroom and bus driver never clean the bus.

If you try and leave a bad review on a tour (under 4 stars), they do NOT publish it. This is very bad practise and makes their tours look like they are all 5 star when they are not. I booked a 4 day tour to Yellowstone, was advertised as Bi Linguial (which technically it was), however, it was basically just a Chinese tour and the tour guide translated to basic english. We did not see 3 of the attractions listed, we were made to pay for meals (doesnt state this on listing) that we had no say in, and the were all Chinese resturants. We didnt even get a refund for one that we DIDNT eat at because we were discriminated and left out. (reviewed seperate) Was made to pay for part of the tour that was meant to be 'optional' We were discriminated for being White basically. After care service does not exsist. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLL

Since Taketours doesn't post my review, I'll post it here. NEVER BOOK A TOUR ON THIS SITE!!! I booked this Tour "1-Day Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Tour from Las Vegas" (tour code: 288-6071) on 5/23/18 and my ticket said the bus would pick us up at 5am at Excalibur and we had to wake up super early to prepare. I got notified by email the day before that the bus would pick us up no later than 5am. However, when we got to the bus pick up area at 4:45am, we saw no one! so my boyfriend called the bus driver twice which went to voicemail, and texted him (his number was provided in the email). He replied he would be there at 6am. So we went inside the Excalibur hotel and came back out at 5:45am. We asked every single bus arriving but he was not there. There was a small bus came after 6:10am and the bus driver stood in 1 place next to the bus and called out something but no one could understand what he said. The Rotunda at the Excalibur is quite big and can fit 4 super big buses. There were a lot of people standing around waiting for buses. And then because the driver of the small bus parked so stupid he blocked all traffic and other buses couldn't move and started beeping at him while he was trying to make a phone call. But since he was blocking traffic he ran back to the bus and so I thought he went to move his bus but he left. I didn't have a chance to ask that small bus before it left. Other bus drivers made great efforts to shout out the destination multiple times and walked around asking everyone who was waiting. I looked on my phone and saw a missed call. I only had ONE missed call. He didn't even call my boyfriend who had called and texted him before. I called back 4 minutes after receiving the missed call. It was the bus driver, He said he called our names several times and called my phone several times, said we were late so he left us behind. We asked if he could turn around and pick us up but he said no and we should have been on time. He also said that if we wanted to go on the tour we needed to take an Uber to the next stop and he only gave us 5mins to get there or else he would leave us behind. It took us 8mins minutes to get an uber, and the driver called back at the request of my boyfriend before leaving and said he was going to leave us behind again he cannot wait. My boyfriend explained we got an Uber because he told us to and asked him several times to please wait 10mins as that is how long it would take to get from Excalibur to the next stop. When we got there, it was that small bus that I did not have a chance to ask. That bus stopped at Excalibur well after 6am so technically he was the one who was late. And despite that he told us that we were late even though we were standing outside waiting for him. There were 6 people in the bus and our group had 5 people. So we literally contributed almost 50% of the people on that bus. And he couldn't turn around 4mins after leaving Excalibur and pick us up? He literally said he had to leave us behind. It was only 2 miles between the 2 bus stops (Excalibur and Treasure Island). it was a very frantic and stressful ordeal for us your tip went to the Uber payment. You're welcome Bin. Additionally the driver forced us to pay a service fee in addition to our $60 Lower antelope tour Entrance fee and a permit fee. Each fee was per person in our group. The Driver could not explain or tell us what the service fee was for and we had to pay him in cash. We also got no receipt for our payment. He charged the other Tour guests $25 and $33 each person for the tour and also requested cash from them but charged us $75 per person. all in all our Trip was very displeasing. The total cost of $300+ just to book this tour plus pay an additional $375 to actually take the tour around the canyon is just scandalous. I don't recommend the tour from here to anyone! It would have been a lot cheaper just to drive ourselves up there and pay only $60 entrance fee per person to have the locals give us the tour and it would have been 100% better!

I wrote a negative review of 1-Day Amazing New York City TourTour Code: 542-377, and it was never posted by TakeTours.com, so I'm posting it here. This 1-Day Amazing New York City TourTour Code: 542-377 tour service was provided by Harmony Travel, our tour guide's name was Yongsheng (Steve) Zhang, and we do not recommend him at all. We were supposed to be picked up at 7:00 am on 133-43 37th Ave in Flushing, but our tour guide changed its location in the last minute. We booked this tour for $50 to cover two tourists. During the tour, we also paid another $20 services fee/tips to our tour guide along with two mandatory general admission tickets for two of our chosen attractions. After we finished our second attraction in Manhattan, our tour guide left us all by ourselves to take the subway back to Flushing on our own because we were 15 minutes late to meet him at the pickup spot. Tour guide expects and demands a $10 services fee/tips per person in addition to the cost of this 1-day tour regardless its poor quality of service provided by the tour guide, so later we realized that we probably should have paid such additional services fee/tips at the end of the tour to ensure our guaranteed transportation back to Flushing. We felt we were ripped off by this tour guide with his poor quality of service, very unprofessional, overrated, overpriced, and it is definitely the worst touring experience ever. His action of leaving us behind deserves $0 in services fee/tips. Please avoid him.

I’m in the military and had a last minute vacation suddenly come up. I decided to take the 8 day tour from California to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon Jackson Reno and Las Vegas. I know these tours are usually for people from other countries but I have never seen these sights before so I booked a trip with take tours. After I received my confirmation letter I booked my flights and hotel for the night to meet them the next day. Upon meeting them we made a transfer in Los Angeles, where Kevin was my tour guide and I must say I had an awesome time ....the people on the bus were friendly good people and my tour guide was very informative....he communicated in mandarin first then would keep me informed the sights were amazing and the extra activities were fun ...especially the helicopter ride in Grand Canyon overall if you want a trip that’s planned out for you and like traveling but don’t mind being on a group schedule this trip is for you. The people I had on tour with me became my new vacation family....the cost is very reasonable for a single person I paid 931 and then an extra 500 for the activities . The hotels were very nice and comfortable. Also bring money for food and shopping. Most of the places you had choices of fast food and the Chinese buffets are great except the one in Salt Lake City Utah ...the customer service sucked so if u go to Utah go to the McDonald’s instead. Overall I highly recommend them

I booked a four days tour covering PA, Washington DC and Niagara. The tour was from 31st May 2018 to 3rd June 2018. Bus No. 5877A. Bus guide name was Mr. Andy. The driver and the guide were Chinese. The driver and the guide Andy were so rude from the 1st day of the tour. They never gave even basic respect to the customers. They have not taken to the attractions as per the itinerary. They skipped most of the important places. They were not respecting Indians. They are treating Indians very badly. If the Indians ask anything, the guide without listening their problems, shouts back and said " Indians are liars". Before the specified time, the guide and the driver took the bus to the hotel at Niagara and left us (me and my wife) at night. This happened despite the fellow passengers were requesting the guide to stop the vehicle. With great hardship we had to take taxi to reach the hotel at our expense and with the help of the passengers of other bus tours. The guide never felt sorry when I asked him. The guide never scheduled the trip properly misguiding us in all occasions. It is a worst tour and we advise people not to take this "take tours" in future. It is very bad experience for us.

Worse Worse Worse Customer Service! Their agents are worse, I am still in shock with how this agent spoke to me. Worse Service! Never ever using them again for anything!

Booked a New York night tour in March for May. The day before we got a reminder email to be at the pick up location 30 minutes before pick up. We arrive only to be told that this tour has not existed for over a year and to contact taketours. I phoned taketours about the situation and asked for a refund. The person wouldn't believe my situation and when I asked for her name the phone conveniently cut out. An hour and a half later I get an email telling me that the tour does exist and to be at the pick up location at 6pm. 90 minutes ago. I phoned the tour operator who confirmed again the tour does not exist. Taketours does not accept this. They promised to look into the situation 2 weeks ago but have not got back to me. I managed to contact American Express about the situation as I have all emails and correspondence about the tour and they have blocked the payment. Terrible terrible company.
