System76 sells rebranded Clevo laptops and custom desktops with PopOS or Ubuntu pre-installed. It's marginally more expensive than Clevo who already charged premium rates, but System76 provides customer support(which I haven't needed yet) and a useful public forum for troubleshooting on Reddit(which I have relied on somewhat). The first and most significant issue I encountered on my "Adder Workstation" was comically loud fan noises. I tried a few methods to fix it, and I'm not sure what worked but it did go away somewhat. I should have expected that anyways with an i9HX processor. The real benefit I encountered was the smooth and polished feel and driver installation process for Ubuntu and PopOS which are clearly heavily optimized for this machine. I'm currently using Ubuntu which has a few special apps for System76 users that enables quick bios updates and custom fan curve control amongst other features. Overall I think you get plenty back for what you pay, but you should also be sure of what you want before you buy at these prices.

I had an issue with my Gazelle 17" freezing up and I could not figure out why, so I summited a Support Ticket with the log files and received a response from Francis in Support the same day. They said it was an issue with the GPU and said I needed to send it in for repair the next morning I had the shipping label and shipped it. My laptop came up missing during shipment to System76. They started an investigation right away at the end of the investigation the shipper couldn't find my laptop so System76 said i could exept one that was very similar to mine or build another one with in a budget. I built an Adder WS 17" and it is an upgrade from the Gazelle I had and I love it very much. System 76 was there from start to finish and fast about everything they did. I have nothing but Graditude and respect for everyone at System76. I will be A System76 Customer for Life. On a seperate note, Pop OS! is the best I love working and playing with it.

My laptop motherboard had and issue and Emma did a FANTASTIC job of shepherding my laptop through, even though I was on the last couple weeks of my warranty. I have owned several System76 laptops over the past 10 years, one is 6 years old and still working fine. I always buy my computers here exclusively. Now I do want to echo one of the other reviewers. Its touch and go depending on what support agent you get. Emma is AMAZING, but when other agents intervened in the ticket I did get the feeling they had not read the full history. A bit of training for the support team would be useful. Thank you System76! You guys are top notch.

their POP-OS is really great ! really a step forward in user experience!
