I have a System 76 Lemur Pro laptop. The USB-C port has stopped working less that 3 years after buying it. They want about $500 to repair the laptop. This is the most important port on the computer and they want 1/3 of the cost of the laptop to fix it. I would expect a laptop to last longer than that. ------ Management did reach out to me about 2 weeks later to simply repeat that it's about a $500 repair. So what was the sense of System 76's reply? I still have a $1500 paperweight. I really wanted to support a Linux OEM when I bought this. My mistake, I'm going back to Dell. I've never had equipment failures with them.

I bought a System76 Oryx Pro, and expected a lot more for it than it's delivering. Trying to get updates installed reliably using Pop_Shop is a pain-the app constantly freezes or crashes. The fans seem to only have 2 speeds; 0 or 100%; and they're extremely loud when running. The laptop completely freezes every few hours after the last firmware update.
