HP Support? Non existant. I purchased an HP OmniBook 5 16 inch Laptop PC 16-ba1000 (BP9Q1AV) and charger back in July and after a few weeks it stopped charging. After hours of checks with HP suport (Bot & human) it was ascertained that the charger was fine but the laptop was faulty.
An agent called Dina (in Cairo) stated it could be replaced and to package it for return. I waited to be contacted by the courier. Nothing. A few days later I called support again to check the status, only to be told the laptop was a few days out of purchase warrenty and Dina had made a mistake ("we are all human"!) I was told it's still under factory warrenty though, and that HP would call me back within 24-48hrs. Nothing. Needless to say, I have called HP many, many times (Egypt and Tunisia), been promised a response on each occasion, and no reply to date, just the same old flannel...I'm pretty distressed about all of these lies and avoidance tactics will NEVER buy an HP product again.

Total frustration - no way to get customer service help
I wish there was a negative rating. Nothing works from HP's customer support side. They don't respond on time, after answering after hours of waiting - they don't even leave a way to reply back - my chat showing "Your question has been answered". They sent a survey link - which doesn't open any survey - instead opens the dead chat history again. Absolutely no way to get help from customer support

**Extremely disappointing HP service…
**Extremely disappointing HP service experience**
I genuinely wish there was an option to give 0 stars.
We first raised a service case when the laptop was still under warranty, and the warranty was about to expire in around 5 days. The issue was that the laptop was not turning on. HP sent an engineer, but he was unable to diagnose the exact problem. He initially said it could be an adapter issue. I explained that when we had switched off the laptop, it still had around 80% battery, so if the adapter was the problem, the laptop should have turned on using the remaining battery. He was then confused and asked us to try another adapter from Croma, where we had purchased the laptop.
We tested our adapter with another laptop and it was working perfectly. We informed the engineer, after which he arranged for a motherboard replacement. However, the motherboard was delayed by around a week because the part was reportedly not available.
When an engineer finally came to replace it, he said the old motherboard appeared to be burnt and that he needed approval before proceeding. He did not repair the laptop and took the motherboard back. After another 3-4 days, a different engineer came. He also did not appear very knowledgeable and had to take help from someone through a video call while installing the motherboard. After completing the replacement, he left and the case was closed immediately.
We did not even use the laptop after that day. Two days later, when we started it, we began getting a CMOS Reset (502) error. Initially it happened occasionally, but the frequency gradually increased.
We contacted HP support and explained that this error had started after the motherboard replacement. We were told to contact the engineer and ask him to reopen the previous case. We contacted him, but he said he could not reopen it and that HP support had to do it, otherwise we should raise a new case.
So we raised a new case. Unfortunately, by this time the laptop had gone out of warranty, and the case was not getting assigned to a support partner. We also contacted HP through WhatsApp support.
Then we were told that after a motherboard replacement, the system should have been formatted/recovered, and that this had not been done. First, we were asked to arrange a 32GB pendrive. We ordered one. Later, HP told us there had been a miscommunication and that we actually needed a 64GB pendrive and another working computer.
I then contacted customer care again, and once again there was a different answer. We were told that 32GB was actually enough, but we still needed another computer because the recovery process could take around 4 hours and an engineer could not sit there for the entire process. Since the laptop was now out of warranty, we were also told that an engineer would not visit.
We did not have another computer available. So we travelled around 200 KM from our place to a friend's place just to arrange another computer. We also bought a new 64GB pendrive based on the instructions we had received.
We followed the recovery process as instructed, and in the middle of it we received this error:
"THIS COMPUTER IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THE SYSTEM RECOVERY MEDIA. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO RECOVER THIS SYSTEM WITH THIS MEDIA."
At that point, we were completely frustrated and stopped the process. After returning, we consulted a local IT professional, who checked the situation and told us that it appeared to be a hardware-related issue and that simply formatting the system would not necessarily solve it.
And now, after all of this, the HP case has been automatically closed.
We have now raised another case with Croma, where we originally purchased the laptop, and we don't even know how long this process will take.
The most frustrating part is that the CMOS issue started only after the motherboard was replaced by HP. Instead of properly investigating the new problem, we were given different instructions by different support representatives, asked to arrange different pendrives, asked to arrange another computer, and ultimately had to travel 200 KM just to attempt a recovery process that did not even work.
This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I will never buy an HP product again.
I will also be sharing this experience on social media so that other customers can understand what kind of support experience they may have to go through after a repair.
HP really needs to take responsibility for the problems that occur after their own repairs instead of making the customer run around between engineers, customer care, WhatsApp support and the seller.

Assolutamente SCANDALOSO!!
Assolutamente SCANDALOSO!!!

Belachelijk slechte service
Meerdere keren gebeld.

I hate HP
I hate HP! Telling me that I cannot use your ink if I bought it from you is absolutely horrible customer support....It's the opposite of support actually...it's more like hostage taking. And then if a customer buys paper from you they have to pay more if they print too much is absurd. It's my printer! I bought it! I own it! I am not leasing it from HP, but they make us think we have to pay them because we use the printer. And they turned off my ability to use the ink I bought because I cancelled their stupid customer support. I am outraged! HP SUCKS!!

I don't know how to give it 0 stars but that it what it deserves. I have bought HP laptops for years but recently they sold me a faulty product and refused to exchange it or deal with the matter in any appropriate way. Even writing a formal complaint to the CEO did not lead to any different response. Genuinely stunned at the treatment from HP. I will never buy from them again and neither will any of my family.
