Our Co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Tory Waxman started Sundays as a solution to her own everyday problem: She couldn't find a dog food that was as nutritious and fresh as home-cooked meals and as convenient as dry food. And that’s how Sundays, the first fresh, air-dried food of its kind, was born. Our mission is to make it easier to be an awesome dog parent. We take the headache out of fresh food, making a nutritious and affordable solution that does require a fridge or freezer like leading raw and frozen brands. Sundays has the cleanest ingredients around; is 100% human grade; and has a Customer Care Pack who love dogs as much as you do, and are available every day for you and your pup!

Horrible customer service, made my dog incredibly sick, and would not provide a refund for a subscription I didn't even sign up for.

Not the best customer service....
I ordered food for both my dogs on Dec 18th. I was traveling during the holidays and decided to try the food for both my dogs when I returned from vacation on January 2nd. On Jan 7th, I reported that one of my dogs did not digest the food well and threw up multiple times. The other dog's stool was very soft. I asked for a refund, and I would return several bags that were unopened. They did not offer me a refund for the one dog with the loose stool and gave me a 50% discount on the dogs with the digestive issues. They claim I only had 14 days to get back to them for a full refund. Given the holidays, I don't think this is a great customer experience and would suggest finding another provider.

Too fatty
Generally this boutique food is okay in terms of ingredients. What I don’t like is the high fat content. Pancreatitis is a common result of small batch specialty dog food like this - and I would be extremely cautious if considering switching entirely. I use the food as a topper or a reward and my dog loves the taste - but this week she’s been vomiting to an alarming degree and is being screened for, you guessed it, pancreatitis. She otherwise has low fat treats when training (no cheese tax in this household) so nothing else accounts for it.

Hi Tianna!
Thanks so much for reaching out! I am so sorry to hear your pup isn't feeling well. Our three recipes provide a range of fat from 18-25%. Sundays does prioritized animal protein, which does make it higher in bioavailable fats. Dietary fat is one of many factors that may trigger pancreatitis and depends on an individual dog's health. Sundays may not be the best fit for a dog either known fat sensitivity.
If you would like us to take a closer look into this for you, please reach out to us directly at [email protected].

Hi Deborah!
I’m sorry to hear that your pup isn’t loving their Sundays just yet. We truly want every pup to enjoy their meals and feel their best, so I’d love to work with you to help them have a great experience with Sundays.
First, it’s always a good idea to make sure there’s no underlying health reason for a change in appetite. Your veterinarian can help rule out any concerns.
If your pup is simply a bit picky, we can try a few gentle adjustments to make meals more exciting - like mixing in a favorite healthy topper, adding a splash of warm water or broth to enhance the aroma, or even rotating recipes to keep things fresh. Please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected].

My dog has very sensitive stomach and…
My dog has very sensitive stomach and all the foods that I fed him gave him diarrhea. I tried Farmers Dog (which he loved) but same thing diarrhea. Then I tried can food. Same thing diarrhea. Now on Sundays his poop is soft normal. Lance is a Sheltie so he is picky eater. Dry he ate a couple of days but then I had to add water with a little chicken broth. Now he is a happy dog.

Sundays for Dogs' shipping and…
Sundays for Dogs' shipping and fulfillment is terrible! It takes days for an order to process. Then they ship FedEx, but not 1 day or 2 day. My order left the warehouse on 12/18 and was "scheduled" to be delivered on 12/22 via "FedEx". Delivery date now scheduled for 12/23. Not having an accurate delivery date for our 4-legged babies is unacceptable. I recognize this is the holidays, but this is the second time this has happened!! Shipping and logistics are so bad I would cancel the subscription if my dog didn't like the food so much. Very disappointed.

Hi Michelle!
Thanks so much for reaching out! I am sorry to hear about your experience and would love to clarify.
We always want you to be in the loop on how your package is doing. Just a friendly reminder, we send emails your way when an order is shipped, so make sure we’re not hiding in your spam section. Additionally, orders are typically delivered within 5 business days from the first carrier scan. We process all order 9 days before the expected delivery date to allow for processing and shipping times to ensure your pup never runs out of food.
If you ever do run into an issue with your order, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will be happy to make things right!

My Labradoodles adjusted extremely easy…
My Labradoodles adjusted extremely easy to the new food. I have tried other foods like this before however, it gave them very bad stomach issues like diarrhea. I decided to give this brand a chance since my cousin uses it not only do the dogs love it, but the packaging is amazing. I just love how it seals closed. I know that seems like something stupid but when you’re in a hurry to be able to close it fast really comes in handy. They never leave any food left in the bowl and I’m happy to give them quality dog food that is delivered right at the front door.

Don’t Sign Up for Sundays for Puppies
After extensively researching food for our new puppy, we landed on Sundays. Although we clearly indicated she was a puppy on the questionnaire, Sundays recommended a feeding regime that appears to be for a small adult dog. Our puppy has been voracious and has needed far more food than was recommended. This is the only food I have ever seen (including kibble and raw) where the schedule doesn’t recommend feeding a puppy more than an adult does. Particularly during their rapid growth periods and considering their high activity levels, they generally need far more calories. Given this, it is far too expensive to feed Sundays and we are having to switch our puppy to another food. On the plus side, our dog liked the food.

Hi!
Thank you so much for getting in touch with us — we’re thrilled that you’re considering Sundays for your pup! We’re proud to share that our USDA Beef, All-Natural Turkey, and All-Natural Chicken recipes are formulated to meet all AAFCO nutrient requirements for All Life Stages, which means they’re perfectly suited for puppies — including large breed puppies over 70 lbs.
We completely understand your concern and are happy to explain how we calculate your pup’s feeding recommendations.
Our initial feeding instructions are veterinarian-formulated, based on an algorithm commonly used in veterinary medicine. This takes into account your dog’s daily energy requirement (DER), which is the amount of calories they need each day based on their physical and lifestyle characteristics. To calculate this, we use key factors like neuter status, age, body weight, fitness level, and activity level.
It’s important to note that Sundays is more nutrient- and calorie-dense than most kibble, so you’ll likely feed a smaller volume than you’re used to. Because every dog and lifestyle is unique, we recommend monitoring your pup closely during the first few weeks. If you notice changes in weight or hunger levels, we’re here to help you fine-tune their daily portion. Most families can see if adjustments are needed within 2 to 4 weeks.
Our recommendations are always designed with your pup’s ideal body condition in mind. You can assess this at home or with your vet, either way, it’s the first step toward supporting their long-term health. As a starting point, we suggest increasing portions by up to 10%, reweighing every two weeks, and continuing to adjust until their weight stabilizes.
