StukentReviews of stukent.com

I used the Social Media Marketing text and simulation. It MADE the class. The students loved the competition, and they got to see how their choices impacted the success of their SM campaigns. As for the text, the individual chapters on each platform was a huge plus. I highly recommend this package.

I love their innovation! Choosing a Stukent product means new and exciting courseware for my marketing classes. My students asked me last year to use Stukent for my class after experiencing Stukent's Social Media Marketing courseware in another course.

Starting my senior year I took a variety of courses to broaden my understanding of the job market. Over previous years my heart had been set on nursing, but due to working in intensive care units during covid I quickly found out that wasn't for me. I randomly took a digital marketing class with no expectations in mind. My teacher introduced me to DECA and FBLA which drove my love for business. I became an officer for the school and took the ranks at competitions. My teacher assigned us the Stukent Social Mimic Simulation as homework and who knew how homework would somehow change my life. I quickly understood the algorithms and was doing this program in my free time. I took the top of my school in the program and got my certification from the program. I realized I had a real passion for digital marketing. Over the course of the school year, I used Stukent and its simulation to help write a business plan which took me to DECA State and FBLA Nationals. I also competed in Stukents partnership with DECA competition and took 15th Internationally. Through my success with DECA all thanks to Stukent I received scholarships from a variety of schools to enter into their Business Ambassadors Program. I eventually chose to attend BYU-I to study Business Management and Marketing. While searching for housing I realized Stukents office was a 2-minute walk from campus. Talk about coincidences! I quickly reached out expressing my admiration of their program and how they help students in such a unique way. I became the youngest person to acquire an internship with them which lead to an amazing job! I am so grateful I was able to use this program, and for all the amazing opportunities that have come from it.

Stukent is something my college should show me up front that I need to pay for before taking a class. I pay thousands to learn from a professor and then he directs me to a software I could have just paid the 100 bucks to use outside of my college?? Ridiculous.

The mimic pro simulation for marketing is a wonderful concept. However, this tool is not ready for primetime. There are simple issues that were not well executed in the design of this app. The amount of time it takes to troubleshoot this product far outweighs the benefits of learning with it. In fact, the defects could end up leaving students with a misunderstanding of how the work is done since the results are not represented properly. 1) Paused keywords show up in the results screen after each round as "fair" across the board. The idea behind paused keywords is to provide a method for students to have keywords selected, but not used in order to experiment. Having paused keywords skews the results 2) There are no scroll bars in the keywords section - If you have over 10 visible columns, you won't be able to see all of them. This limits your ability to do research on the keyword's effectiveness. 3) Once you pause keywords, it's impossible to put them back into active status. Clicking active does nothing to change the status back, messing up your campaigns moving forward. 4) There is no way to filter the keywords by the ad campaign or campaign itself. They are just in one big list, that is divided into a set of 29 keywords per page. If you have an average of 20 plus keywords per ad campaign, and you are creating ad campaigns for each persona on multiple products, there could be more than 10 pages of keywords minimum. Going through and trying to manage all of those keywords takes a lot more time than necessary. Their support is unable (or not interested) in viewing their student's screens to see how well the tool works from the student's perspective, leaving me to believe they have not yet adopted a human-centered approach to their design Buyer beware, this product is a reflection of the institutions that use it. I would give this an NPS of 0 - Definitely would not recommend it. Hope that they can work closely with the students who use it, to get a sense of how to improve it. I did not get a sense that there was an interest in that from speaking to their tech support team and seeing other reviews on this site that shared this sentiment.

I had to use two Mimic programs for two college class and it was by far the worst part of both classes. Stukent actively makes me as a student discouraged from Content Marketing and Digital Media Analytics and I think it would be best for them to shut it down. I hate this

The classroom experience was invaluable for students in the Marketing Program. The simulations allowed an online hands on application to a real life business situation.
