Terrible service! I booked a flight on the website, the airline cancelled my flight but I got no communication at all from Studentuniverse. I found out about the cancellation by chance, luckily before the flight date, cause I called the airline to book a special meal. A company to avoid!

Avoid student universe and stick with other proven travel agents when booking flights etc. as their service has been deplorable and they have incorrectly charged me. There are several review websites that consistently back this up with consistently poor ratings for student universe with similar complaints. It’s been a battle getting a refund for a cancelled flight but what really disappointed me was that their website incorrectly charged my credit card for a seat selection when I booked my flight. I didn’t select that option when booking the flight so maybe it was just a glitch or something. Mistakes and glitches happen. Therefore, seconds after the payment was processed and I saw that my card was overcharged I immediately sent an email informing student universe that I had been incorrectly charged and asked it to please refund. I also raised the matter during a follow up telephone call. It has been 6 weeks and several follow up emails and phone calls since and I still have not had a response. I have provided evidence in multiple emails that I used all reasonable attempts to inform student universe of the error and to request the refund and they are still ignoring me. I acknowledge that they are busy, but I notice that they respond to feedback on this website within a day or two. So why are they ignoring my genuine attempts to contact them for a refund? Cmon student universe...it’s an obvious and small error on your part. Why don’t you make this right? Student universe caused the error, incorrectly charged me and are pocketing my money. I have informed the consumer protection authorities of this conduct but they will take some time to investigate due to the sheer complaints against student universe. Consumer law safeguards customers for billing errors, particularly when I have evidence that I made a genuine attempt to inform them immediately after being over charged. Please be reasonable student universe and stop wasting everyone’s time. I won’t give up on this one.

Told me they are applying Emirates policy for cancelling my flights ($150) but after speaking to Emirates via online chat they were not charging their customers...seem to pick and choose which policy suits them? Moreover the window seat option does not guarantee you a window seat...a waste of money. Seemed like I was saving money in the short term but beware of this company!

NEVER use this website to book your ticket!!! A few days after I placed my ticket, I received an email from the airline informing me that the flight was cancelled, so I sent an email to the official email of Student Universe to ask when I could get my refund, and I received a reply three days later, telling me that I will get the refund but need pay $ 40 to get it. my bank account shows that the ticket I purchased included a fare of $790 , and other 10 dollars were charge by the student universe, but it was only 790 dollars in a row. There is no other ticketing website that would charge this fee. Never use this site again, this site should be closed

My flight was cancelled 48 hours prior to departure. I called SU to see what my options were and left my number in the call back queue. I also sent 2 emails titled "URGENT FLIGHT CANCELLED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF DEPARTURE", DM'ed them on instagram, and tried calling twice more. It took them 18 hours to call me back (which happened to be 2am) where they only tried calling once, no text, no email, no nothing. In this time, I rebooked a new flight directly with an airline as I realised I could not rely on these imbeciles to do their jobs. As I booked through this agency, the airline could not make any changes to my booking. As such, i'm $1700 out of pocket for a replacement flight. Despite this clearly being SU's fault due to their inability to prioritise bookings based on departure date/time they failed to respond to any of my emails. Two weeks later, I called up and received appalling service where the employee spoke to me as though I was a child and offered nothing more than an airline credit I thought it was safe to book with SU as I am aware they are owned by Flight Centre, but now I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy

Basic robbers, all of the airlines are processing a full refund for canceled flights because of COVID-19 but this rubbish still charged me $250 for the flight that I did not cancel...

We apologise for keeping your money when we have no right. We just really like money. It lets us buy nice things. Debbie the Finance Manager used it to pay for a holiday in the Maldives. She didn’t book the trip through StudentUniverse though? She is not an id iot. Feel free to contact us. We will ignore your call as soon as is possible. Please provide negative stars next time for student universe! Don't know why I didn't read these reviews before booking through student universe. Absolute disgrace! Wait 4hrs on the phone only to be hung up on. Flight has been cancelled due to COVID-19 , meant to be flying out in 15hrs and still haven't heard from them. PLEASE DONT GO WITH THESE SCUMS!
