The course was fine but when I got to the proctored final exam the guy that proctored my exam was a total a$$. He nit-picked every little thing he could think of like the decor on my walls - with literally no correlation to the exam - and made me sit uncomfortably with my back against the wall so I wouldn’t look at my decor of literal music artists. I took humanities bro. Not the study of rap culture. Get prescribed bud cause you need to chill the f out However, the course “assignments” had little to no correlation to the actual test and quizzes that went along with the chapters (PSA. i took a humanities course on the U.S. government). The exams would glitch out and take forever to get to the next question. Would sometimes be sitting there in complete frustration to the point where I did not even want to do the course anymore. There are definitely better online college course(s) websites you can find. I would not recommend spending your money here. The management needs to work on the bugs with the website and their staff because they’re all so miserable and unnecessarily rude to paying customers.

I enjoyed the service of Straightline everything was easy to navigate.

It was a very hard class but the grading was fair and I liked how you can work at your own pace. It saves you sooo much money I saved over $1000 doing this course!

This has been the worst experience ever when it comes to online courses i’ve taken several and never had this many issues submitting an assignment. There was a couple times where I had a message from an instructor i’m assuming letting me know that I needed to resubmit a different topic. So I redid my speeches so it could be resubmitted and it wouldn’t let me. Assuming they had tech support or something that could fix this issue the only thing they have available are student advisors that are honestly useless because they couldn’t do anything on their end but tell me I have to pay for the course again to submit the assignment. It’s not user friendly, you can’t actually message or interact with an instructor, it’s horrible.

This is just such a sad excuse of a site. It is by far the easiest way to get credits but for a reason; you will gain nothing from it. The tests and quizzes are so poorly written that it does not help at all. A good example is you read a chapter, take notes do whatever you need, then you take the practice test or "homework". The "homework" is always just true or false questions usually regarding key words and terms. Within this you have questions for things that were only mentioned in passing under something like the caption of a picture. Then you get to the actual graded tests which are usually open book, (stupid idea for a graded test) within the test you have multiple choices questions which you have not been prepared for at all. You're used to a true or false question about buzzwords and you're immediately thrust into a paragraph and a half long question which has to do with things from lessons you may not have even gotten to (as the book jumps around chapters like playing hopscotch with a three legged girl) and I have found on multiple tests that there were spelling errors leading to incorrect answers which were brought to the attention of the company who changed them. Very unprofessional place as well customer service-wise. So you go from absolutely braindead word to testing on things you haven't been taught usually with wrong answers or spelling mistakes. Then once all that nightmare is over you finally get to the final (the only test which is closed book). Here you go from a relaxed and frankly pathetic environment to the most rigid and strict test taking you can imagine. You have to set up a proctor appointment with people who don't speak one word of english and fumble around for hours trying your hardest to get the test going to which I have had on more than one occasion the proctor disconnect midtest or prior to it because they got frustrated or something happened in whatever country they reside which leads to a whole host of problems. You get into the test and once again it goes from simple vocab to things you haven't been taught, poorly written, and usually with many provably wrong answers that contradict the book it teaches you out of. Overall, I have done several classes and averaged above 90% but learned next to nothing and wasted my time. Good transfer credits but a complete joke of an educational company. If you truly care about learning or your educational experience, DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY.
