I had a contract with Home Star Storage. The facility was sold to Store Space Storage and that where the problems started. My rent jumped from 106 to 195 in less than 12 months. Insurance was added to my rent without even checking if I had insurance for the unit. Finally, the storage units had rats infestation. The location never reached out to the me (or anyone) to make them aware of the infestation. They were rude and I was told on several occasions the district manager would reach out to me. That never happened, Annoy Store Space Storage at all cost!

storespace owned the location at 381 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Mableton,GA. when they took the space over from Selfstorage in 2021, Storespace RAISED the rent $50 with NO warning. Storespace has sold the property to Lifestorage in June 2022. I have moved out because, my unit has been inhabited with RATS in my unit; and homeless people living in the vacant units. How can you NOT know (if you have active cameras like you say you do) you have a large population of RATS and homeless in your units. I have had to file a claim against Lifestorage because STORESPACE has left a mess for them without taking care of the pest problem. Beware STORESPACE Self Storage.

EVERY 3 OR 4 MONTHS THE RENT GOES UP ON MY UNIT, NOT EVEN A LARGE ONE.

Lured me in with a decent rate then more then doubled the rate in 3 months. I'm not referring to the promotional rate. The roof leaks water (see photo). The temperature controlled storage is 90 degrees in summer and 50 degrees in winter. They also only have 1 drive in bay which is nearly always full. Hallways often have trash laying around. Don't get suckered in. Go somewhere else. I wish I had never rented here. Update: I called and spoke with the local manager before. I was told the price was doubling because of unforeseen increases in wood cost. Yeah...wood caused my rate to double in 3 months. No. It's your greed and disregard for customers. He sightly reduced the increase for 6 months and NOW it's fully doubled after 9 months. Don't act like calling will help or that you actually care about customers. I really wish you would not have tricked me into spending my time and money moving to your greedy facility from an actual decent storage provider. Imagine if this dirty practice was legal with home rentals.

I called, and the customer service representative said that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. Well, it's way over 48 hours since I called, and no-one has called me. The Store Space in Brandon, FL doesn't deserve one star, but I had to pick one to get this review started. My daughter rented a unit here, and I was affected due to her experience. This is our story. 1. Never contacted about change in company. 2. Rent rate increased $50.00. Never contacted. 3. Rental due date changed, and no contact. 4. No-one returns calls. 5. My daughter goes to store to pay her rent, and is told her unit was sold. 6. No contact about unit being sold. 7. I was advised that my daughter had been contacted by phone/emails every day, but my daughter said she had not been contacted. 8. I'm a 2nd contact, so why wasn't I contacted? 9. When my daughter said she wasn't leaving until she could speak to a manager, the police were called on her. I can say more, but the worse part of this story is I lost a large box of old family photographs that was being stored in that unit, and my daughter lost all her stuff. I called today, left email messages, and no-one has contacted me back.

Please don't do business here this place needs to be investigated cause their employees stole my stuff and they higher management doesn't respond back they let your property get tooking and their employee tried to cover this up

never got Amazon gift card ruined my belongings in so called climate controlled unit rust ruined furniture and kids mattress and then they tell me no number to contact for claims only email would never use them again cost me more money for new stuff then it did to rent unit not to mention manager at Cranston location sat on his phone all day with his head set on neglecting to even notice any customers in the facility place is a joke !
