Very very very Frustrating they are asking like hundreds of documents and keep asking for it. Better to leave the company who opted for Sterling Check. It's like you are applied for Secret Agent Job. It's worst background check I have ever in life after done with 2 times DBS check which was very straigh forward and quick.

My future employer decided to use them to perform my background check. Knowing how these companies work, I've uploaded proofs of employment and address and education (pay slips, contracts, degree certificate and transcript, two forms IDs, proofs of residence for each single flat I lived in during the past 7 years) before they even asked for them. After 3 weeks they are still checking something, but they can't tell me what over the phone. I used to complain about HireRight, but this is a whole new level of incompetence.

Poorly managed system, zero competence, inefficient at max, stayed uncontactable, not sounding serious at all. Do not even consider using them for any service!

Filled in the forms, kept saying that the information was wrong. Wouldn't except my passport. Found out today they were using my husband's ex wife information. No wonder it wouldn't except my information. Made a complaint and if I get a job offer in the future that uses Sterling as a background check I will refuse it as they don't know how to look after your information. I am very upset and scared. Don't use Sterling as they are dangerous.
