STEEP BAITS, CHEAP ETHICS Steep & Cheap’s approach to promotions is astonishing. The problem isn’t that the terms aren’t clear before you buy. It’s that there aren't any clear terms at all. The promotional emails contain none, and you won't find any on the website either. When I asked the company to honor its promotion, I was met with random excuses, inconsistent refund calculation, and a refund that wasn’t even processed as promised. Customer service simply sent me in circles with canned responses that failed to address the actual issues. I’ve reported these practices to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection : • inconsistent and unverifiable promotional terms • inconsistent, arbitrary, and potentially deceptive application of promotions • retroactive reclassification of a discount applied at checkout • pricing methodology that does not reflect the transaction as executed • failure to process a refund as communicated STEEP BAITS, CHEAP ETHICS

Paid for ground shipping and they sent it Fed Ex economy smartpost. Called and said it shows it might get delivered by the 5 days so to call back when it doesn’t. Asked for the refund for my upgraded shipping and was told no, but I paid for fed ex ground and not fed ex smart post which never works right. Customer service was not helpful and blew me off. I asked to speak to someone else and was told no one else’s was there? Regretting spending $600 in the last month with them.

If you are from Canada or any country other than the U.S....BEWARE!! Their shipping fees are exorbitant. I swear the shipping fee did NOT appear on my order page. NO SALES ORDER WAS EMAILED TO ME that showed the shipping charge of $138.99 US....yup, that's right. One pair of jeans from them to Ontario. $138.99 US. The shipping charge of $7.95 or $9.95 appears on the order as soon as you click checkout but then it disappears and shows $138.99 or whatever the international shipping charge happens to be that day. NOWHERE on the site does it show USD or CAD - which is pretty deceiving. I read the policies before buying, and expected a higher shipping charge AND understood I would pay duties and exchange rate. But this is ridiculous. So, so disappointed. UPDATE: Rec'd a response from Steep and Cheap and called the number provided so they could 'help' me. I was offered a $15 reimbursement (then $20) to my account. A $138.00 shipping fee, and they were going to placate me with $15. I rejected it and said it was an insult. I also did a bit more research - looks like I'm not the only one to experience the 'glitch' on their website that doesn't show shipping charge (to Canada) right away when you're completing the order online. I order items from the US often and never have I been hit with such high (ridiculous) shipping cost. Live and learn. Just reinforces my title - Stay away from Steep and Cheap if you're buying from Canada.

Great service. Maybe you wait a little longer for your product. But everything is packed nicely, and no problems with returns.

Bad service, slower shipping than advertised even with paying more. Don't bother paying more for shipping and hope you can wait forever for your item.
