A bit complicated getting the tickets; too much online push; nothing personable. Got the tickets online (mildly confusing), but we really didn't know what our tickets included and what not. My tix did, my sister's didn't (but they were the same price, same site). We missed out on the opportunity to go in/up the statue. My nephew was devastated. I know you receive hordes of tourists a day, but there must a way to make the experience more "humane". For example, allow the option of buying tickets on the dock or nearby, in-person.

Guide was nice but unintelligible, very difficult to understand with his thick accent, and not very informative. All members of the family agreed. At a certain point we left the “tour”. It was unnecessary to pay additional for this “skip the line” tour.

It was for to busy. And with this hot weather it was almost giving me an anxiety attack on the boat.

Line wait for "timed" entry was a cluster fck. People shoulder to shoulder in the direct sun/heat waiting to get into security building. That's were the fun really begins. Strip down worse than boarding at Newark Airport. Totally ridiculous. Also, scanning device was malfunctioning and had to be reset many times. No line control discipline. Really created negative vibes before stepping on boat. Never again!!!

Response from Statue Of Liberty GuideJul 20, 2026
Hi Richard, thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry for the confusion. Crown/torch access tickets are limited in availability and need to be purchased separately, typically 2-3 months in advance, so your booking would have included the general admission tickets only. It is clearly mentioned on the website, still Our team will follow up with you directly regarding your visit.
