Hi Jym, We're sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying your new stairlift as much as your old one. While we love our legacy models too, we've found that our current line of stairlifts are much more adaptable and can be installed on a wider range of staircases. They also do a better job of hugging turns, staying closer to the wall and allowing more space for others to use the stairs. While a 90 degree swivel can be good in some cases, we were finding that many users were banging their hands against the wall or banister when swiveling. So, we reduced the swivel distance by a few degrees to eliminate that issue. We can certainly understand your frustration after spending so much time getting used to your old stairlift, but we hope that you'll eventually get more comfortable with the new model and learn to love it just as much!
