Don't be 10 mins late - Spring Health is Unsympathetic
I attended my first virtual meeting, and I had a pleasant conversation with the therapist. For my second virtual appointment, I joined the call 15 minutes late due to an emergency. I sat in the meeting room for about an hour, with no one else joining. I emailed my counselor with no response. My only response was later about scheduling another appointment. I received a bill for the full charge, not a portion. After speaking with Spring Health, I was informed that if you are 10 minutes late, you will be charged the full payment. I feel this is unacceptable for a company dealing with mental health.

Another Victim
I am genuinely disappointed to have to write this review, but after witnessing what my mum has been forced to endure, I feel it is important to share her experience and hold Spring Health accountable for the way this situation was handled.
My mum worked for Spring Health and, after an issue involving Deel resulted in her wages being stolen as well unauthorised advances being taken out in her name. She was left without the support or reassurance she deserved from her employer. What is particularly concerning is that Spring Health chose to work alongside a company that was responsible for handling its employees’ payments, yet when something went seriously wrong, my mum was left feeling as though she had to deal with the consequences alone.
Her wages were taken from her without her involvement, and despite the seriousness of the situation, she was not adequately supported or reimbursed. Instead, she was left dealing with the financial and emotional consequences of something she did not cause or authorise.
As an employer, I believe Spring Health had a responsibility to properly support my mum and advocate for her when something went wrong. Instead, the lack of communication, reassurance and meaningful assistance has been extremely disappointing.
I hope Spring Health reflects on how this was handled and recognises that employees should not be left feeling abandoned when their wages and financial security are affected. Working alongside another company does not remove the responsibility to support your own employees when they are put in this position.
If sharing my mum’s experience can help even one person think twice about who they trust with their employment and wages, then I feel it is worth speaking up.

Truly saved me
I started a new job and was extremely anxious. The company offered Spring Health as an employee benefit which was great. I was given 8 free sessions, which was very clearly communicated to me. I was able to find a therapist that aligned with my preference which was a male with a faith based background. It allowed us to connection beyond just therapy. He was able to guide me through the first few months of my job and, honestly, I only needed about 4 visits to feel like my anxiety was in control. They also referred me to a medication manager who helped me try some meds that have been extremely helpful. I feel like this is a benefit that every company should provide.

Stay away - serious safety concerns
My experience raised serious concerns about client safety
I have been a therapist for more than 20 years, and client safety is one of my highest priorities. Based on my experience with this company, I had significant concerns about how potentially high-risk clients are screened and supported before being connected with a therapist and allowed to book a session. For example, patients are not required to enter basic demographic information that would serve as a safety guard in case of clients who need immediate assistance and potentially need to be referred to a higher level of care due to immanent risk.
Before working with the company, I was given information that led me to understand that clients presenting with significant safety concerns would be prescreened and that care navigators and crisis resources would be available when needed. My experience did not match those expectations.
In my experience, responsibility for assessing and managing significant suicide risk appeared to fall primarily on the individual therapist as in my case not even basic demographic information was provided for a high risk client. I was concerned about the amount of client information available to facilitate emergency intervention when necessary.
I believe therapists considering working with this telehealth EAP platform should carefully investigate its procedures for suicide-risk screening, crisis response, emergency contact information, local emergency resources, and referral to a higher level of care.
My concerns are specifically based on my experience and the procedures I encountered while working with the company. I would encourage other clinicians to obtain clear, written information about these safety procedures before accepting referrals involving potentially high-risk clients.

Billing horrible
They will estimate your copay and bill you 6x as much. They didn't charge until 4 months after session. Billing gives vague, unclear answers. They said they escalated but never did. I had identical sessions and was charged 6.2x as much for one of them without being notified. Most sessions were around 30 minutes but they charged my insurance for 60. They are just sketchy.

DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. Springhealth will trick you with its free trail and if anything goes wrong it will bill you $200+ dollars. SCAM.

Does more harm than good
Does more harm than good. The billing department is not willing to work with you at all, about charges you were never informed of. I wish I never participated. I would NOT refer someone here for help.
