Most Generally A Positive Experience
Normally very fast and efficient in getting claims processed, but seems to always require one or more attempts to provide all the necessary paperwork. Would also be preferable to have a call center in the US that you can reach for questions, rather than the outsourcing Spot does for claims related questions.

Procedure to file a claim was very straightforward and easy to do. I did my own estimate on what I thought I should be reimbursed based on the plan I chose. It was to the penny what Spot Pet Insurance paid. Very happy.

Consider an Alternative
Rates have gone up twice in less than two years, and the coverage is abysmal. $50 coverage for a $130 checkup?? I've been paying $80 a month for almost two years now and am seriously considering switching.

Rate increases account for increased pet age, advancements in vet technology and rising treatment costs, the general cost of care in your area, and several other factors. All premiums are based on rates filed with your state’s Department of Insurance, and we work to keep our premiums competitive. Spot is the first pet insurance we have…
Spot is the first pet insurance we have placed on our pets. The claims process was straight forward. The reimbursement came back to us for the 2 claims. The first was received in about 10 days, the second was within 5 days.

Spot pet insurance for my cats
I actually refund about 40% of preventive care for both my cats which cost over 600$. So far loving Spot Pet Insurance! Submitting claims were easy, processing a bit slow but not too bad! Mike T
