The collar is awesome and generally the fence works great. Here are couple of issues I have. There is a large tree in our back yard if the dog sprits through the fence line starting from under that tree the collar will not go off. The only other issue I have with the collar is the Bluetooth connectivity between the collar and the phone are not good at all. I will have the collar and the phone in the same hand and while trying to be connected to the collar to control it our change the settings the collar will lose connection quite often. Other than those two items everything else has been perfect.

We have been using the collar for over a year now and it seems to be pretty reliable. We do have issues with false warnings in our metal barn, but from what I have read about GPS, that's pretty typical. Other than that, I do have to be careful to get the prongs near the skin every time I put the collar on, since our newfoundland has a thick mane and the static correction doesn't phase him at all through his fur. We had an issue with our first collar not working properly and SpotOn Fence replaced it immediately. Since then, we recently had an issue with the collar breaking at the male end of the buckle and I must say, I was absolutely impressed with the speed in which they responded to my email (on a weekend nonetheless) and how quickly a replacement was sent. The customer service is top notch. Sometimes you truly do get what you pay for. It would be nice if the collar had a way to do a manual correction to help with other training issues, but overall, we are mostly satisfied with it and, again, have been very impressed with their customer service.

It's a much better option than putting a fence in the ground.

Positives: 1. Easy to set up collar and zones. 2. Has been overall effective. 3. Like the tracking feature. Negatives: 1. One of two collars has shorter battery life @ 16 hrs / charge. 2. Longer hair on dogs can prevent static charge. 3. Metal buildings can bounce signal and cause false warning. This is just a limitation of GPS in general.

Love the notifications and tracking ability. Wish there was a shock feature for barking. Also, we have a stubborn dog that will take the shock if he really wants to get at something. I don’t know if you could make one with a stronger shock to deter stubborn dogs, but this one is about 95% effective. Tracking takes us right to him every time. Love that collar works even during power outages. I have recommended it to everyone that asks about it.

Awesome company and very help support. I had a hard time understanding and getting everything in sync but customer service was very helpful.

The only complaint I have is the battery in the collar does not last more than 12 hours. Not the 22 that’s advertised.

I bought this collar because I have a neighbor on the lake where I live that said if my dog came over one more time that he wouldn’t be coming home again. Thankfully they are about 4 houses down from me so I don’t have to interact with them at all. Seems like there’s one in every neighborhood. It has worked very effectively since I got it about 1 year ago. I since have another dog as old Smokey passed away last year and she remains in the yard all the time. It is nice that I can just open the door and let her out whenever she wants. I put the boundary out about 150’ from the lake shore so she can swim whenever she wants. It’s a little hard to make sure its on but other than that it works great. A few weeks ago I forgot the collar on her when I left home and didn’t realize it. As I was driving through town she started getting buzzed and shocked. Made me wonder if all the collars are on the same frequency, which could be bad if your neighbor gets one.
