This is 2020 and I was a member since 2006. First, you have to order a LOT of merchandise for the membership fee to be worth it. What made me cancel my membership is this...the Sportsmans Guide home page says with a membership "All Orders of $49+ are free shipping". So, I ordered 2 ladder stands and see a shipping fee of $25.00. I actually called them to ask what's up with that? She said one of the tree stands had a heavy shipping charge. So, we went back and forth for awhile because my point was it was false advertising, not ALL orders over $49.00 ship for free as you claim they do. My claim was "All Orders" means "ALL Orders". Her claim was this tiny little sentence that stated the one ladder stand had a heavy shipping charge, and that I should have seen it, so it's not Sportsman Guide's fault. She stuck to her guns with the shipping charge and I stuck to my guns that it was false advertising. I ended up cancelling the order, along with my membership after 14 years. So, don't believe Sportsman Guide when they say all orders over $49.00 ship free. All orders don't!

As others have noted, placed an order, then got a notification of backorder / delay. I responded the same day to their email to acknowledge and accept the delay, the order was cancelled by them before the next expected shipment date.

i had ordered a case of ammo that was in stock and signed up for a trial membership on July 2 because you have to get it while you can right now. Then I started reading the reviews and I panicked, because they weren't close to raving good reviews. i checked on July 6 after the holiday and it showed shipped and then on the 7 shipped, so checking the tracking, fedex showed no record. ( more panic ). Called and got a recording about how busy they were and would i like a call back in 45min to an hour, I agreed. They called back and the woman was as nice and helpful as she could be, said my package was boxed and ready for a shipping label. That evening i got an email with updates and tracking and had my package in 2 days from day of shipping. I got everything i ordered. This may be a fluke, because the majority of reviews are bad, I will be ordering again and see what happens. I will try the paid membership once and see how that goes as well.

They are scamming consumers. They have items online available once you purchase the item you get an email saying the item is on back order after they charge your card.

I ordered a pair of work boots 2 weeks ago and the order says "in progress" with ship date of N/A. Emailed them and no answer. Tried to call, but said too busy and to try again. Tried 10 times but never got through and got same recording about being too busy to answer calls. This used to be a good company and have ordered much in the past, but now they really suck. Customer service is non existent. I cancelled order by email. Still no answer. Stay away from this company.

My dog could give better customer service than this joke of a business. I ordered $600 worth of Yeti’s for my business on June 12th. By June 26th, they haven’t even shipped. They blame Coronavirus for not being able to answer calls. Last time I checked, phones worked from home. Do not spend money here.

Never again. Ordered a scope a week ago still hasn't shipped. Sent and e-mail inquiry and was told it would be three days before someone would contact me. It is impossible to contact them by phone. Steer clear of this outfit and do NOT get sucked into their "Buyer's Club."

I don't ever buy anything online without attempting to contact the retailer, both using their contact form, and sending an email to their email address. I have questions about the product, that will most certainly sway my decision, and a timely response will tell me a lot about how much this store cares about me. Well, it seems Sportsmans Guide doesn't care at all. Numerous attempts to get responses to questions have gone unanswered, I may as well be howling at the moon. No money for you.
