The best thing about Spoonful of Comfort are the 5 or 6 chocolate chip cookies. The next best things about Spoonful of Comfort are the packaging and delivery. They are well done. The packaging says the soup contains wild rice. I found none -- though perhaps there is a bit of white rice. The soup liquid is over 90% (by both weight and volume), but is not overly salty. The next largest component is probably carrots. Chicken meat, white(?) rice, and celery appear to be lesser percentages. At least the spices probably won't offend. The rolls are not unusual. I think any comfort is in the mind of the sender.

This is the THIRD TIME I am commenting on this company. I originally gave them 3stars because the soup was good but Not only did they TOTALLY BOTCH the delivery date of my order (delivering it 5DAYS early) but now I am dropping them down to 1star because they are trying to play dumb and not understand why this was so important. I have explained it first to the person talking the order over the phone (BTW I HAD TO PAY $25 EXTRA TO HAVE IT DELIVERED THE WAY I WANTED) 2nd in detail in my first review 3rd in my expanded explanation and now again because they don’t understand why I am upset that my order wasn’t delivered as arranged. I am not surprised that this company ethics a non existent. I will never use them again. Everyone I know is aware of their negligence and will not even consider trying them. If you wish to play the innocent martyr in this scenario so be it, we both know the truth.

Truly awful food! Hard dry cookies, soups are bland and too salty. Rolls were quite stale. Just nothing to recommend at this site!

Friend complained about Mac and cheese - runny with no taste of cheese; wouldn't eat it. Chili had chemical taste. She had to tell me reluctantly of bad experience. !!

I really wanted to love Spoonful of Comfort. The packaging was absolutely beautiful and gave a wonderful first impression. Unfortunately, the quality of the food itself was disappointing, especially for those who prefer clean, wholesome ingredients. The cookies are made with bleached flour and have a noticeable aftertaste. The bread is overly spongy and contains dough conditioners, which isn’t ideal for those who avoid processed additives. Most disappointing was the chicken soup—while it looks homemade, it contains dextrose a chemical additives that can be problematic for people sensitive to such ingredients. If you're sending this to someone who is unwell or has dietary sensitivities, this may not be the best choice. While the presentation is lovely, the ingredients don't align with a clean eating lifestyle. I really wish the quality matched the care put into the packaging.

I paid an extra $40 for expedited delivery. As of today it hasn’t even shipped yet. I called them three times and had to leave voicemail messages because no one answers the phone. Sent an email. Completed an online request form. No one has attempted to contact me. All I have received is an automated email response. Company blames the weather? Weather doesn’t stop you from answering your phone. Or customer service. UPS says item isn’t even ready for pick up yet. This company pretends to be customer oriented but it is not. At all. I will never trust to use them again.
