So far so good. You do need to follow the directions as to how to get the machine started. It has yet to turn right on the first time.
Will update as to how the tanning progresses.

Thank you so much for sharing with us. Once all 4 bulbs are ignited, continue to turn the unit on/off about 3-4 more times to insure that all of the filament is cleared from the bulbs. After everything is all cleared, the unit should turn on right away. If you continue to have any technical difficulties, please feel free to contact our customer service office.

The product came well wrapped and…
The product came well wrapped and delivered perfectly. Easy to set up, but the lamps would not fully light for a while. Trouble shooting items helped, turn off and on, and I believe it works now.
Too new to confirm satisfaction, as I did not have a chance to try again. First time was short and didn't seem like it tanned after 3 minutes, but need to try again.
The lamps are not hot, like your typical sunlamps, so it could be deceiving.

The lamp is lightweight and easy to store. We keep it in the bedroom and use it every other day on both me and my two little girls. They seem so much healthier after a quick 2minutes every other day.

Let there be no confusion
Let there be no confusion. This is regarding recent purchase and subsequent return of Spert Fiji Sun Tanning Lamp. My objective experience where tangible results should be evident by nature of ‘Tanning’ lamp. No results could be had and the unit was not fit for purpose. ie it did not provide any viewable evidence of a Tan. This was used as instructed and aside from a temporary reddish blush as you would get from sitting in front of any slight heat source. I have an olive complexion by nature and live in the UK am of mixed race. I usually tan easily, deeply and well in natural sunlight.
The service however from Sperti in terms of dealings was impeccable. They refunded me for the unit but not the postage or duty as per terms. The duty was claimed and refunded separately from HMRC. I suffered a loss of approx $ 200.00 with postage back and fro to The U.S. It was stated that ‘Non Tanning’ was not a valid basis for returning unit for refund so I had to avoid the term which was curious I thought. It seems others report similar experiences. It is not unknown that this unit appears ‘not fit for purpose’. I have no interest other than relaying a useful honest and true review. The unit is manufactured to an acceptable standard physically which is of little use if it’s purpose cannot be achieved. The timer has an unnecessarily loud bell resonating through the box on completion of session through the mechanical timer? Shocking you rather than alerting. The fact the light goes off at the same time makes the bell really a nuisance. Now the UK operates at 50hz rather than 60hz as in the USA. Whether this may be a factor that the unit did not deliver a tan is maybe a possibility?? But pointers suggest that bulbs are unaffected in the same way as motors would be. So! To conclude, a professional experience received in regard to communication and outcome. I am disappointed that my attempt to source the best (if reflected by cost) sunlamp available on the market did not deliver. Sunlamps have gone out of fashion and with health implications possible stores in the UK do not carry them widely. A previously purchase plastic mass produced lamp from +10 years ago still functions 100% more effectively although the lamps are no longer available, possibly due to new regulations on such appliances. Thankyou

Determined Sperti to have the best quality and value
I read that reliable medical experiments have shown: Taking Vitamin D tablets does not protect against various diseases such as osteoporosis and heart attacks. At the same time, people with higher blood levels of Vitamin D especially from the sun or UVB have been shown to be protected from various diseases. The conclusion of what I read was that when you get your Vitamin D from the sun or UVB lights, you get more than just the Vitamin D.
I don't give my sources hoping you will do your own research. It looked to me that Sperti literature recommends food sources of Vitamin D, but for those who do not get enough from food, Sperti sells its Vitamin-D lamp. Sperti literature seems to me emphatic that Sperti does not provide medical information. From my own reading, the food sources of Vitamin D seem to be animals, insects, and not plants. And the current medical recommendations that I am hearing are to eat a plant-based diet and avoid animal-source foods such as meat and dairy, and even fowl. Avoid sugary foods such as soda pop, and even orange juice. Eat whole grains, not ground grains (i.e. bread). The thought of getting my Vitamin D from eating insects and worms sort of, well, turns my stomach. So really, you need to do your own research and form your own conclusions.
The reason I tell all this (above) is to explain what motivated me to search for a UVB lamp. I live in an area in which I would feel very uncomfortable and a little unsafe disrobing outdoors to get my Vitamin D from the sun. So, I sought a UVB lamp I can use in my private living quarters.
Sperti's UVB lamp looked to be just what I sought. It is compact, and comes with Sperti's claims that the lamp emphasizes UVB (the Vitamin D frequency), deemphasizes UVA (the tanning frequency), and does not emit significant UVC (the harmful frequency of ultra-violate).
I thought Sperti's products to be pricy. However, everything else I found that was less expensive did not look reliable. The cheaper lamps did not even claim to produce any UV. They were for "light therapy", not for Vitamin D. The higher priced lamps did claim to emit UVB sufficient to produce Vitamin D but were:
1. Impractical for me due to taking a lot of floor space.
2. More than twice the price Sperti was charging.
So, I bought the Sperti. My lamp arrived within a week.
I happen to have a UVB meter from a project I did years ago. So, I blew off the dust from my meter, and changed to fresh batteries. I measured the UVB from a regular LED light. The UVB was barely measurable an inch or two from the regular LED light.
Then, I put on the UV blocking eyewear that comes with the Sperti Vitamin D lamp and turned on the Sperti lamp. There's no waiting with this modern UVB lamp. It is on within 2 seconds and emits visible light so you can tell it is on. At Sperti's recommended distance of 15 inches from the lamp's grill, I measured the UVB. I don't remember my reading, but it was definitely emitting a lot of UVB. This lamp is doing its job!
I conclude: Based on my experience with the unit I bought, I definitely recommend the Sperti Vitamin D lamp as a reliable source of the Vitamin D producing frequency of UV, i.e. UVB.
